Without knowing protections or whose firsts they are, I don’t know that two is enough.

Could be two unprotected Sacramento firsts or two heavily protected Detroit or Thunder firsts.

They’d have to be very good first rounders for me to pull the trigger

The only world in where 2 first for Trey is fine is if there is a young player (or 2) with legit potential thrown in.

2 firsts alone is not enough especially with how the lottery works nowadays.

I saw a stat on reddit on 30ft 3pt% and trey was 40% on 37 attempts. Thats insane and far better than anyone else on the list

We all the Pelijokes never make any moves unless it is detrimental to the team.

This is all just spitting into the wind. A wasteland of a franchise that will never win anything.

I'd love to know what the direction of this team is heading.

I just don't understand trading Trey right now, and keeping lazy arse.
I think Murray and Fears can work well together, and while i love Herb and think he affects winning, if we were to move someone (other than lazy arse) i think it should be him, and i'd want 2 firsts for him.
By the way, Zion/Herb for Jaylen Brown is an exact salary match.

I know everyone wants to get a 5 to play with Queen, but if we are being realistic, Queen has to be able to be an effective 5 on a playoff caliber team. It's no different than AD's bitch arse not wanting to be the 5, when he's one of the best 5's in the league. Trey is the ideal 4 for us, not Queen, and not Zion. Murray/Fears/Brown/Trey/Queen is an ideal team. You could argue we already have a good supporting bench to go with that team if Missi can be up his defensive game, and then you have Bey as the 3&D guy off the bench as well as a energy big in Karlo. Id even be fine with Poole staying on the team and coming off the bench.

We want to compete. That's why the trade rumors are for Trey/ Herb and not Murray/ Zion.

We have (2) current directions:

1. Turn (2) starters into a contending level player aka Brown

2. Turn Poole/ Hawk into another center or starting level asset

That's the part I don't understand.
Trading Zion is the way to compete, not Trey/Herb.
Zion is a hindrance to the makeup of our lineup. He is a terrible defender, and refuses to shoot. Since we don't have a big who can shoot, this makes him not shooting an even bigger issue.

Queen and Zion can't play together. One of them has to go, and I'd prefer it be the guy we've seen (or barely seen) the last 7 years do little to nothign to help us get to the playoffs.

100% with you, its not even a question

Say you could move Zion in a deal that acquires Jalen Duren in a S&T and whatever else

Move Dejounte for bench players and whatever

Fears
Herb
Trey
Queen
Duren

That would at least be fun and a team that makes some level of sense

Right. That's why getting a C who can shoot and maximize Z is what we are trying to do right now. The reality is that Z has massive gravity vs Trey and is still the higher impact player.

Trading Zion is not the way to compete. Trading away assets to get the best possible impact player is how you compete. If you can only get that player by trading Trey > Zion then you do it if you are trying to compete.

Up to this point neither of Z/ Trey = winning. So it really shouldn't matter who we trade in regards to landing someone who will give us a chance to compete.

Then why did we give up what we did to get Queen? This is the part that doesn't make sense. They are basically saying Zion and Queen can't co-exist. Well if that's the case, then trade one of them.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I don't think he's a winning player. His defense sucks, he's too hard to build around, and his clutch play is more often than not, terrible.

I would agree, if I thought we could compete. We should be going the other direction, building around Fears/Queen and compiling assets, not unloading them.

Good.

Needs to be at least 2 firsts plus a player or two.

It's not the same as ad. Queen can't hold up on the defensive end as a 5.

And if he can't, then he's goign to have a hard time making it in this league.
I wasn't trying to say Queen is like AD, just that if we want to succeed with Queen on our roster, he has to develop into a guy that can play the 5. I think he's capable of it.

Exactly. Either Two 1st and a promising player, or a Mikal Bridges/Desmond Bane type offer. If not, you keep Trey.
