Again, the thread was started by a Mavs fan and the rational Rockets visitor disagrees with you. There are no glasses in the world that can make your argument intelligent.

LBJ would probably go 1, but even that is debatable now. As for KD, you're just making shite up that isn't quantifiable, verifiable, or justifiable.

I just don't get why you all come on this board, a PELICANS board, as non-PELICANS fans and cry like little bitches about certain people "looking through Pelicans glasses."

I mean damn, some people are just losers I guess with nothing better to do with their time.

Well, I think we can narrow down your downvoter to two posters...

This is absolute nonsense. I have been a big basketball fan my entire life. As we never had an NBA team, I stuck to pulling for LSU players. I pulled for the Magic and Lakers when Shaq played for them, but I wasn't a Magic or Lakers fan. I just enjoyed watching basketball, as I have my entire life.

I grew up around basketball. My grandfather coached several future pros in AAU. It wasn't until the Hornets came to town that I had a team, though.

Well there are always exceptions but in general the team you pick when you're growing up is the team that you keep so most people 25-35 would've had a team before the Hornets/Pels got here.

This is true, but New Orleans is unique in that there is a point of pride to hail from this city. The Pelicans are now part of our city. The longer they're here, the more ingrained they get.

I don't even care if people don't like the Pelicans because they grew up attached to another team. It's only the people that show up to the arena and make it a point to shite on their city's team, and be obnoxious/loud as humanly possible. Congratz, you made it to the one NBA game you'll see all year, and you're howling like a hyena cause you're such a super fan. I'm sure they all have league pass too and make sure to catch every game.

Again for you slow frickers out there AD is an phenomenal young player but if your starting a 1 season league and 1 season only he would definitely not go in the top 2 picks. Maybe not even top 5 so how the hell is he the best player in the league or the world for that matter?

So are you not comprehending your original argument?

quote:

Us he's really good right now and has the potential to be a great player but he is nowhere near the best player in the world right now. There are plenty of players that would be taken ahead of AD if it was for this season only. Not knocking him but he's playing with an all star PG , a talented scorer in TE and a decent C in Asik and probably isn't gonna lead them to the playoffs so let's cool it on the AD is great talk.

Those are just words. Neither of them are great players. Jrue is average and Tyreke is horrible. Asik is good. The team is doing about as well as expected considering the garbage surrounding Davis and the schedule/number of away games we've played.

ON PACE? lol I see his PER going down on a weekly basis. Wasn't it up at 34-35 a couple weeks ago, then mid 33s a week or 2 ago, now down under 33. In a couple weeks it will be down under 31, then 30, etc. etc. Put it to ya like this, he ain't breaking that PER record.

lol wut? Why do you think it would continue to go down? You think he's getting worse? I agree the rest of the league might have adjusted to how good he is and stopped shooting around him so his blocks will go down(same thing happened last year), but 1 week with a couple of 35 points, 6 block games will put him back on track. I certainly don't think he will finish in the mid 30s, but I think its reasonable he sets the record.

People be bored up in here.

21 games into the season and AD's PER is 32.96.

Going "down" or not, the trend tends to go down vs. superior opponents. What happens when we hit the jan-feb stretch of easier opponents? It goes back up? Maybe it sits still. Either way, as an individual player, he's extremely efficient and its hard to believe he's only in his 3rd year. It took KG til he was 25-26 to transcend into the KG that everyone knows.

Do you think that there have not been players who have had 20 games with a PER over what ADs is now? I can almost assure there has been, probably more than a few. Davis PER is already slowly decreasing from what it was at the first few weeks of the season, it is highly likely that he regresses just like all of the other players who have had stretches with an outstanding PER. Not to mention the schedule is about to toughen up Davis won't have the luxury of playing a soft schedule for the next 20 games.

Rj, yes.

I don't think you can count boom trying to make arguments using his rudimentary understanding of the game of basketball as "trolling".
