Good player/good trade, but his development is nearly done

And? If he doesn't improve, it's still a great trade

Assume he's capped

I'd take a capped 17 and 8, all star, all night and twice on Sunday's for two picks.
The trade also goes way past Holiday's individual numbers. What he does for our franchise player, AD, could be incalculable. AD relies on PGs getting him shots. He's got an all star passing him the ball now.

me too, but if All-Star is the credibility here, he might not make another one in the West. His PER was under 17 this year too, btw.

I like this trade.

people were "fapping" at the notion of getting burke, we bring in an experienced all star PG and this is somehow disappointing?

I wasn't very excited about noel at all, thought we may trade but didn't think we'd do this well

This is a very good move for the Pelicans. It makes sense on every level. Jrue is a huge upgrade at PG.

The difference is Jrue Holiday has been a professional basketball player with unlimited practice time with pro coaches for 4 years. CJ has yet to receive that

and that speaks to jrue's advantages. age matters more than experience when it comes to developmental curves

when they said Philly, I was thinking Turner. Jrue didn't cross my mind, I thought he was untradeable.

I still think we will make some moves with Greovis or Lopez

It's a perfectly fine thing. Jrue is an a top 10 point guard. It's all about what he does for Davis. The OP was misleading, as if he were getting a prospect. We know what Jrue is going to be, he's four years into the league.

The playoffs are not out of the question here.

At 23, JH isn't at his physical peak yet. In fact he is prob 3 yrs away from the start of his "prime" physical yrs.

Great trade for hornets.

SFP, you gotta like this trade right? A young veteran all star for a couple of unknowns.

I still maintain Noel gives us a higher potential ceiling, but there's no doubt Holliday is far superior to what we'd get from McCollum.
