where did EG do his rehab for his shoulder? He went from near surgery to looking great.

In Los Angeles at the direction of a doctor from Chicago. but the Gordon situation is a bit different. Strengthening hips and glutes to cover the knee is an option, I don't think there are the same number of alternatives to take pressure off the ankle.

The way David Wesley described the stress reaction when he first went out didn't sound too positive. Basically the pin they had put in to strengthen the bone was causing pressure to nearby parts of the bone IIRC. Like I said, I wonder if they need to redo the surgery.

Just thinking about that Dudley/Lowe pod.

It almost feels like they need to move Anderson for a competent guard + wing or 4. I don't think the offense survives long term without him, but they also can't compete for an 8 seed rolling out some of these 2nd units.

An SI guy Ballard did a piece on these types of trainers. About using tech to predict injuries and working to avoid them.

Son of a bitch... At this point I'll be surprised if he plays at all this season. I don't know if the problem is our training staff misdiagnosing injuries, or the team just giving out misleading information, either way it's extremely frustrating.

This is over and I'm done watching games but Man I'm tired of blaming this injury bug and it's about time it is realized our medical staff/doctors are literally horrible at their jobs. This doesn't happen with any other team, all these little injures and insufficient amount of information. Makes you really wonder why? Why do you waste time following and loving a team with piss poor management/doctors/coaching etc.

I sure hope it's not the misdiagnosing the injuries

Ryno for Jason Thompson and Stauskas (seems low value, but not sure if Ryno is enough to get a 1st thrown in too)
Stauskas for Gerald Green
Withey and 2nd for best backup PG you can get.

Thompson is like a better rebounding Jason Smith. Won't replace Ryno but is fine for a 3rd big.
Gerald Green may not have the gravitational effect of Ryno being a SG/SF, but he should be able to produce points as well.

AD will step up and lead his team to the playoffs like every other elite player does. I just have that feeling.

I was looking for that article a few weeks ago. This team HAS to invest in better preventive care like that. For those of you that haven't read it, it's really an interesting read

Welcome to the next frontier in sports information: predictive injury analysis. As recently as five years ago no NBA team had a sports scientist on staff. Now a half-dozen do, though some go by different titles, and many of those hires occurred in the last year. One club even posted a job listing on LinkedIn.

I'll go out on a limb and say we aren't one of those 6 teams

He does not have that ability yet. Maybe next year when everyone gets injured again. That's the one thing I can still knock Davis for is not being able to get the ball and really create efficient shots during crunch time, I know the team never gets him the ball in the first place(minus okc), but all the other elite players in the game can/will take people off the dribble at the end of the games. AD isn't there, yet.

That Sixers ESPN piece from the other day was fascinating in this way. They appear to be all over this type of data gathering and analysis. Players wear tracking devices during practice, they review after shootarounds, etc. Very impressive and interesting, if also a little creepy.

Yeah. I'd almost rather take Stauskas. Even though he has been completely lost this year, you've still got that rookie control.

Jrue Holiday is in Los Angeles visiting with specialist, according to team

I believe he had his surgery in Los Angeles, so it might be the same doctor.

The 8 spot isn't out of reach but they need to hit some stride in mid-late spring toward the end.

I'm praying for a Dragic trade that collapses PHX. Reggie Jackson becoming a cancer for OKC as well would be nice.

The only reason that I'm keeping the faith is that the best stretch of basketball this team played all season was without Jrue. Proof that they can play above .500 ball without him.
