JJ Redick says Kira Lewis is a better shooter than he thought. Admits he didn’t watch a ton of college basketball last year but was impressed with how he shot it in shooting drills so far.
Been trying to say this. He's a legit shooter. As the season go on he'll get more and more minutes. He was never destined for the g league. Too fast, shoots well enough and can play either guard spot.

I really think Lewis can be the future at PG. I think he can be like Lillard if he hits his ceiling

The a-holes comment was in reference to when he first came here, he said that last year about last year's team too. I do not believe that was intended to say there are no a-holes on the team NOW.
He said “like I said last year there are no a-holes on this team” . I actually think it’s true and quite a testament to Griffin that he is a man of his word when he says he is trying to build a family like culture. But it was just a bit of a humorous comment I thought.

Oh, I know. I was just joking because people are so married to that “BI is a 2guard” idea

As part of the statement he was making today he basically said that we’re going to play a lot of lineups with multiple PGs, because out of our guards (Bled, Ball, NAW, Kira, and JJ) we really only have 1 true 2 guard. He also didn’t include Hart there, so I’m assuming we can take from that, that Hart is mainly playing backup 3 (which I think most of us already assumed).

we never had chemistry issues last year either, and we weren’t good. I said it last year, we have a good group of guys, we don’t have any assholes on this team
Definitely talking about Davis and or Cousins.

Reddick has said just last week how the group of guys we had last year were perhaps the best overall players(from a personal perspective) that he had ever been a part of.
So obviously this is simply speaking to his sense that no one on this team since he got here is an a-hole.
Some of the random Favors or Moore(and even Jrue) hate is weird. Both are considered some of the better teammates and people in this league. Zion and Reddick both praised Moore on the same podcast, Reddick calling him a pro’s pro. Favors has always had nothing but the highest praise from his teammates until last year where it was obvious he was struggling with the sudden death of his mom and he had a down year since.
If nothing else Griffin has put together rosters of very high character guys. Whether it is drafting, free agency, or through trades.

Every team can benefit from having 1 a-hole, just the right kind of a-hole
Also, when I first read the OP, I was thinking that we only lost Jrue, Favors, and Frank who are all very solid individuals..

a-hole is the word i want to use for him, but i think yall get my point. He plays with that edge.

Favors was always known as a chill dude.

JJ is talking from an overall career perspective, playing for a number of teams through the years.
Those assuming that he is talking about last year are gaslighting. Nothing to see here.

JJ is the “a-hole” of this team, and he would tell you as much

False. Was a positive player for Pels.

Pels fans have treated Favors like dog shite.

Robin Lopez circa the Evans transaction and Derrick Favors haters are probably two of the best barometers in Pels history of who are low IQ Pels observers and who aren’t.
Not saying the guy was flawless, and it’s clear he had a down year after the sudden death of his mom(even if statistically it was amongst his best) but things like calling him a waste of space when his presence was the only thing keeping us from being a constant sieve on the boards and in interior defense, and the only guy that could at least competently help clean up all of our young guys constantly shitting all over the court on defense, really tells me how many fans can watch a sport and actually not see anything. Guy was literally the difference between our team being almost bottom of the league in defense and when he was back playing major minutes before the bubble, had our team playing borderline top ten to top 15(even stretches of us being a top 5 defense).

Aside from Alvin misusing him and putting him in bad spots, Derrick did a lot of good things on the court.
When fans on this board bitched about him not coming back soon enough after his mothers death, I felt ashamed to be a pels fan.

What he's saying is that no one on the team actually HAS an a-hole. The entire organization uses colostomy bags.
Whew... I was a little worried about team chemistry for a second there.

Well, he definitely didn't do $17 million worth of good things.
