I like Ingram because he tried to fight Harden and Cp3 earlier in the season. That gives him the edge over Tatum in my opinion. He also looks like he’s from New Orleans. Tatum is too clean cut. We already have Jrue and Zion being sexy and chill. We need a meth head looking wildcard to help even the roster out.

Tatum is also catholic tho so you gotta take that into effect with the relatability.

Ingram!! Tatum is more of a role or system player. His game is great in Boston without Kyrie.
I think Ingram can be a first option and can isolate

Brad Stevens had a very questionable coaching year. That team was really weird with the way they ran their offense. Felt more like a 2 man offense with Kyrie and Horford/Morris and then would just dump if off to the wings if that didn’t work out. It had zero flow to it.

Ingram is a really good player with the ball in his hands, which doesnt seem to fit as much playing with Ball. I think he would be really good in a point forward role here.

Offensively I think Ingram would initiate and play as the on-ball guard. Pairing a 6’10” point with a 7’+ Wingspan with Jrue is really intriguing from a defensive perspective too.

Tatum. The only stat that Ingram is better in is Assists.

Ingram is also much more aggressive. He has nearly double the number of drives per game than Tatum.

I think it's close, but Tatum is the better player right now.

I wouldn't be sad to have Ingram on the team though.

The team was though. You literal have a guy saying he doesn't want to be on the team with Kyrie next year. The team was a mess and nobody had any defined roles.

Which would be nullified by starting Moore at SF

I'd take Ingram over Wiggins, but like Wiggins, Ingram seems destined for the NBA anchor contract club in a season.

You might have the worst takes on this board. From being a Cam Reddish guy to this. Big yikes.

Ingram is a bad defender, I don't know where people are getting this idea from.

Ingram's a ball stopper and his assist to turnover ratio is atrocious.

You don't want him initiating anything right now.

Harrison Barnes loved to isolate as well, doesn't mean you want them doing it.

The 2 most rudimentary traits that championship level wing players have are:

A) efficient ball scoring. Ie FG%’s hovering around 50%

B) ability to draw fouls. Ie 5-6+ FTA a game

In my lifetime , Jordan, Magic , bird Kobe (who was offset with Shaq’s Efficiency), Dirk, Wade, Lebron, Durant, Giannis, Kawhi to name a few.

The guys that put those numbers up aren’t always champions, but champions always put those numbers up.

Ingram on paper is building a profile like this.

Tatum has the potential to but hasn’t quite gotten there. I won’t hold that against him until he can actually be the dude and not just a dude

In all honesty I think Tatum and Ingram have similar talent level. I’d be happy with either. 1 thing that gives me pause about Ingram is the only having 1 year left on rookie deal. However, I feel like that is offset if we are able to get #4, Kuz, Ball, etc fin the trade. Boston has the best singular piece to offer in a trade, but the Lakers probably have piece 2,3 and 4.

The other concern is Ingram’s health. I’d want 20-30 doctors to clear him before we take that trade. You don’t want to risk the main piece of your AD trade having to retire before the age of 24. I think the Lakers offer has the ability to pan out better than the Celtics trade, but the Celtics trade would offer more of a guaranteed and safer return.

It’s a tough decision. When in doubt, I’d lean towards trading AD to the East.
