I didn’t have to search at all bunch. You either want to be a TS% proponent or not. I don’t think Ingram is better but it is close. Most of all just want you to stop talking out your arse.

First off I think Ingram has been poorly developed by Walton.

Russell got better away from him

Randle got better away from him

Ball did not develop as many expected

Ingram did not develop as many expected.

I think Vogel will get a lot more out of the current Lakers than Walton did. Walton just is not good at developing players who left college early.

On the flip side Stevens is very good at developing talent.

Therefore I think the Boston players are much closer to their ceiling than the Lakers players.

As a Lakers fan I hope they sign Butler and pass on the trade for Davis. Maybe trade Ingram or Ball but not everyone for Davis.

Tatum is the better player.

I'd rather Ingram, #4, Suns/Bulls pick instead of Lonzo, than Ingram, Memphis pick, late teens first or two.

Ingram shot 38% from 3 two years ago but I don’t see that fitting into your “can’t shoot” narrative

3 year career:

29%
38%
33%

One of those is a complete outlier, AND he's only averaging 1.8 per game. So he's not consistent, not improving year to year, and he's extremely low volume so he has minimal impact on the game/spacing (which is the purpose at this point of 3p shooting).

Tatum on the other hand has averaged 3 and then 4 3PA a game. So he does it in volume and at a high percentage.

There's not one person (minus LE) that thinks at the end of the day, Ingram's highest scoring numbers in the league will be more than Tatum's? (they are already)

Depends on the situation both find themselves in.

But as overall players, Tatum is the better player/better prospect.

Lol. I've looked at both of their stats a bunch. They aren't really close.

You are just doing the typical Lester "I need to be contrary to everyone else so that if I turn out to be right, everyone will remember this and not the many times I was wrong" Earl.

You like to be contrary. Its fun. I like to do that too. Just admit that you're being contrary for the sake of it and move on.

The only stat that Ingram is better in is Assists.

I still prefer Tatum, but this is just not true. Ingram was clearly a better scorer last year. Especially the run he went on before getting hurt.

18.3 PPG on 49.7% from the field. Tatum was 15.7 on 45%/

Ingram actually dropped 30+ in 3 of his last 13 games he played. 25+ in 6 of those 13. 23.3 on 55% in those 13 games. Tatum has never come close to a stretch like that. Tatum has 1 30+ point game and 4 25+ point games in two seasons.

People are also forgetting these players don't play in vacuums.

Ingram would be on a team with two non-spacers.

You don't build a core in the modern NBA around three guys that can't shoot. That all occupy the same space, which is around the basket.

Bro your one point of emphasis is FTA's(of which Ingram hits 65%) and one seasons TS% where the guy you are comparing had a better rookie year than all Ingrams years.

You have no argument.

You said Ingram was only better in one stat, which is false. I don’t think you know what a contrarian is. Proving a direct statement like you made to be false is not being contrarian

Does anybody else feel like Ingram is about equivalent to Wiggins?

So one guy is showing improvement and the other regressed & you are going to sit here and try and play that angle? Lol ok guy

Ingram getting to the line is a good thing regardless of his FT%. He’s improved as a rim attacker, and overall is more skilled than Tatum. He’s better off the dribble & he’s a better passer and has over long stretches dating back to Duke proven to be a capable shooter.

I like Tatum better because of intangibles. I think he has the makings of a good leader. 3 ball is a plus but y’all are acting like he’s some fool proof future mega star

Ingram has already become an +18 ppg scorer in this league. Tatum is still behind Ingram's 2nd yr numbers.

Coaching matters and Tatum had a much better coach.

Ingram was the better player last year imo. Tatum has had the better overall career.

Ingram is a really good player with the ball in his hands, which doesnt seem to fit as much playing with Ball. I think he would be really good in a point forward role here. I was really against the Lakers package at 1st, but after sitting down and studying a lot of Ingram. I changed my view in regards to him as a player.

No, but that being said Wiggins is far better than he is given credit for.

Ingram is much better. He still is on the rise as a player. Wiggins is done. He just doesn’t have any drive to be great
