The Ingram thing hardly matters. Kidd does share an agency with Griff. That's the more important one.

Which explains a lot given that those two names were literally immediately leaked as candidates by Woj when Gentry was fired.

He flamed out so badly in Cleveland that there's no way it happens, but I know Griffin really likes John Beilein. He gushed over him on a Woj pod from a few years ago.
He also talked about how stealth they had to be in Cleveland about contacting college coaches. Wouldn't be surprised if he talked to some college guys, even if those names never come out.

I’m in the boat of not wanting him either but I feel like it’s about to happen. Honestly I don’t want Lue or JKidd. There has to be better options. We have waited this long, wait until we get the right coach.

Lue is not a guy I want but he's...fine. A lot of teams seem to want him, and Griffin really loves him. If he's the choice, its uninspired, but it is fine. We could do worse.

Lue has players vouching for him as an Xs and Os expert. All of the Kidd praise is superficial... "he gave me confidence" type shite. We've tried the assistant coach on a successful team who gets credit for connecting with players. I'd like an actual fricking coach.

Same. I am skeptical of Lue but I will give him a season or two to see what he's about.
