But at the right price.

He's going to get like 10 million dollars a year at least I think.

If we didn't have Asik and Ajinca on the books at all (re: not stretched either), then I would be on board.

But we won't be able to afford him.

You can blame the guy who is still in charge for that, and will somehow be given some credit for "getting rid of them", ie his own horrible catastrophes.

Are we all in agreeance that if we don't trade Asik or Ajinca that the trade is horrible, whatever it may be?

A smaller scale deal involving a bench player is an obvious exception as well, although I'd like to keep Moore. Dude has legit moxy.

Not if we get another top 10 pick this year

I'd have to think one of the two would be included though

Not sure Cleveland can trade any of those picks because of the Stepien Rule. I know they have a bunch of future picks traded.

Just looked it up again. 2019 10-31 is promised to ATL (same for 2020 if not conveyed). So they could trade 2020 3-10 if ATL doesn't convey in 2019 (turns to 2022 top 3 protected if ATL conveys in 2020) and if not 2021 top 3 protected.

Their 2017 is going to Portland so they can't trade that one or the 2018.

I don't see how Cleveland could make a deal with us for TJ unless there are multiple teams involved.

And I am sure they wouldn't do that for two guys who wouldn't even be in the rotation when the games really matter

Not necessarily. If we traded Holiday for Okafor and a top 3 protected 1st from Philly, I could live with not moving Asik or Ajinca in that trade. If we did trade Holiday I would hope that meant we were tanking and used guys like Jones/Galloway/Cunningham to dump at least Ajinca.

What is their rotation when the games really matter?

I would bet my life Jones and Frazier wouldn't see a minute vs GS

And remember, JR will be back. They go starters, Shump, Korver, and Frye. Eight men is plenty when you play 7 games in 17 days. Even RJ would play well before those two

If the Love injury is worse than anticipated, I could see CLE getting desperate with others in the Eeast making moves. I could see Jones getting minutes in the playoffs and Frazier is just a throw in who can run the offense given Lebrons previous criticism of Felder.

I didn't think a team would trade a top 10 protected pick for an expiring 34 yr old Korver, but CLE really wants to repeat. They are limited in who they can trade for help with the tax issues and not wanting to give anyone back with any sort of salary.

Man, I can't win with you guys. You say I was a Debbie Downer so I purposely let you have your dreams and that is the wrong path too. Will it never end? A bunch of delicate snowflakes here

Do you have a take on Demps returning? I know earlier in the year you thought he was likely gone. But the moves they are trying to make look like the moves of someone that plans to be here, and he's found an ingenious way to convert about $5 million per year of cost (salary) into revenue via insurance payments and fines.
