It's kind of ridiculous that the grizzlies are in the play in game and we aren't

Yeah Jonas is their best player and he makes about 12 mil less than Adams made this year and I think he makes roughly the same amount that Adams makes in the next 2 seasons.

I will say Adams currently matches up better with Jonas than Billy or Hayes, but give Hayes another year or two and I think he will be able to overwhelm Jonas.

Valanciunas is a top 5 center
They have a pg who has good vision for being so young.
Handful of solid Shooters

They remind me of post-melo nuggets. A bunch of solid players, but no true superstar among them.

I don’t think he’s top 5 but he’s a solid center.

The Grizz in general have a high floor but I still argue a much lower ceiling than other young teams like us or the Nuggets.

Frankly, they seem to have successfully recreated the old Grizzlies, but in a new variant. A team that will be a playoff thorn for a half decade or more but never a true contender.

That was one person that said that and most people here gave him a lot of grief for it.

I thought it was a couple people, but I’d say majority agreed he was top 10. To be positive, at least Griff didnt give him a 4 year extension. That would have been catastrophic.

They have good role players. Coming into the year Dillon Brooks and Josh Hart was the same player but Brooks improved Hart did not. Then add in other vet role players like Kyle Anderson and Tyus Jones and it really help there young players fit in there role.

All of our Vet role players we were counting on all regress from the year before. The only Vet that played up was Billy. It was our young players who improved like NAW, JAX, and Naji.

I most disappointed in Josh I thought he had that dog in him he should be playing up to the same caliber as Dillon Brooks specially in a contract year. He should have never let JJ stay with him.

They also have players that care about winning and not only about offense and stats.

They draft a lot of high floor low ceiling guys and we draft high ceiling guys. It’s not the difficult to see. They will remain mediocre.

uh what? Outside of Ja and Jackson (both top 3 picks), they have drafted quality high floor guys. Literally none of them were young developing type players. You knew what you were getting from Bane, Tillman, Brooks (tho he’s improved), Clarke, etc. all guys who have played college for 3+ years

Couldn't agree with anything more than this. Not saying we're good by any means, but at least we have 2 stars on our team. They have one decent player, a good coach, and average/role players at best on their team, and yet they are way way way better than us. I'm speechless. A team like fricking Memphis shouldn't be that much better than us. It's unacceptable.

Well said.

Memphis to me is pretty much reaching their ceiling. At least were not close to reaching ours.

"We're too young..."

BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH

Meanwhile the Grizzlies are younger than we are...

A joke the amount of excuses people are willing to give this franchise.
