I mean what kind of world is this?

Why in the ever living frick would the Lakers rationally care that much about the Pellies? How did we get so far inside of their heads? It's legitimately amazing how hard they played earlier this week and then how they gamed the resting of LBJ/AD solely for...the Pelicans?

Is this a rivalry now? I'm honestly not sure. Like, do their fans actually want some, too?

They rushed Lebron and AD back for us.

They turned the fricking lights off during our shoot around. Willie was STEAMED about it.

We are so far in their heads it cracks me up.

I don’t think they rushed them back. THEY HELD THEM OUT FOR US. Supposedly AD was “going” to play the night before. And LBJ is not injured other than normal end of the year wear and tear.

You don’t rush back “injured” superstar players and then play them 36+ mins the 1st game back (Lebron played 40).

On top of all that, IMO they literally did a defensive scheme update to try to slow the Pels down with how they were fighting through screens and being VERY handsy with CJ and BI. AND THEY STILL LOST!

But why? That's what I don't get.

We're not out there talking shite. It this like some poor man's revenge tour b/c AD got his feelings hurt or something?

They tried to break the NBA at our expense a few years ago and, apparently, made a bad deal. Even with the NBA media backing them (and calling us a poverty franchise), they still fricked it up. It's not like we did anything to them, and our fanbase isn't big enough to really matter.

This is all just insane to me.

Seattle needs a team. The NBA should look at that poverty franchise in LA as a potential candidate.

The Lakers have totally screwed up. We get their picks as they suck and their roster is poorly constructed. We also have BI who could have been a franchise player for them.

I still think the Lakers don’t win a title with Lebron and AD without the extended break from COVID. Their roster was better suited for a short run and not a long grinding season.

Says the team who literally rested their “injured” stars the game before to play against the lowly Pelicans. Not to mention they played their “injured” stars HUGE minutes in the loss.

Accuse the other guy OF WHAT YOU ACTUALLY ARE DOING is the oldest trick in the book.

This is what most pointed out back then..also most pointed out the flaw in building completely around an aging Bron and an injury plagued AD with no depth.

Was the bubble title worth it?

Pelicans fans - “Davis is way too injury prone to be the main guy. When LeBron gets old, Davis won’t be able to carry the team.”

14 year olds on the internet - “Poverty franchise lol!!”

They view us as a little brother and are used to us rolling over for them when they show up. Unfortunately for them, little brother is growing up and they are desperate to try anything to maintain their dominance. They can’t admit it to themselves but deep down they know the hard truth: they are scared of us because we are better than them.

Like I said in a threw a month or so ago, the national media/fans just did not understand who AD truly was. I guess they just ignored his major flaws assuming it was b/c he was in Nola but they've kept up in LA, possibly being exacerbated by the circumstances (having an alpha next to him and getting older).

The frick are the Lakers going to do for the next couple years? I don't think they can move Westbrook for anything that would help, AD is getting older (so his injuries will increase likely), and LBJ can only dedicate himself to offense or defense in any given game. They have no draft capital (to inject youth or trade for someone) and are a family-run business that can't pay what teams like the Warriors do in luxury tax.

They have a few years and then AD will be old. It may have to be a complete rebuild at that point.

Now, if AD/LBJ can be healthy for 75% of games, they're a top-6 seed almost automatically, but that's the issue.

Here's the thing everyone (including us at times) forgets: WE ARE DOING THIS WITHOUT ZION

We get a little positive injury luck next year (which goes against our franchise curse) and...

at this point i'm convinced Zion comes out of a coffin at half time during the play in game like the undertaker and the pels win the championship
