that wouldn't be the trade...
my point is that he's better than what they are running out there and thus desireable

as for what the pels would get back it would be a young player and/or a superfluous player. Why wouldn't the Bulls trade Noah and a player for Gordon and a 2nd? If Noah gets healthy great, if not no loss. Meantime you get a look at him and maybe get snell or Gibson for example

I got you, I just don't see there being any deal that would benefit both teams for Gordon.

Unless this was crucial for a bigger and better move, frick Demps. Ish was one of the few bright spots this year and my favorite player to watch.

AT LEAST wait till after the Christmas game I mean common. The dude has never played on Christmas Day, prob has family in Miami ready to see him play and they deal him for 2 seconds which won't even matter. Feel bad for ish. What a shitty Christmas present.

non guaranteed contract for a chance at a decent player
denvers pick should be in the 30's
it's a good asset

I'd be shocked though if the 2017 sixers pick isn't a mirage

I guy like Ish and most other young players across the league would rather get minutes for the 6ers than ride the bench for anyone else. I doubt he's broken up about the deal.

Could see moving Gordon to Bulls, they send Noah to Brooklyn, they send Thad Young to us and we throw them one of those second rounders since they have absolultey no picks. Seems like fair value to all party's. Of course that would mean we have to move Ryno.

Why is everyone so upset about this move? If they are Phillys seconds they are great pick positions. For Ish Smith, a guy we groomed for nothing. That's one of the few nice moves we made so far.

The people that are complaining are being selfish and want to enjoy watching games since the rest of this team is so ugly to watch. I'm with cgrand, the 2nd pick has to be pretend right? But if it is why include it? I think Philly may have a league mandate to stop screwing around, if it does and they need a pg to run Dantoni's system maybe they're just that desperate and it is 2 real 2nds. It's a good trade if it's 1 2nd but it's fantastic value if it's 2.

Early 2nds do have a certain amount of value, especially if you're packaging them with an expiring like Gordon. It reduces the risk that he walks and leaves you trading an asset for a short rental. Maybe Boston says no to Gordon for Lee and a 1st but says yes if you can give them 2 seconds as well. Just an example of what 2nds can get you that Ish couldn't. I don't think many would object to using Ish to turn Gordon into a 1st or helping dump Asik.

It's a good move for the Pels. Ish can't play with Evans and you want Holiday running the 2s if he's coming off the bench. Ish is better than Cole but I don't think anyone wants him.

Very leery of what Demps does next. Even that Gordon dump probably only gets you Dallas's 1st, at best. While wise given what the Pels are, that doesn't seem to be a move in his (or perhaps ownership's) DNA.

I'd take Dallas 1st for Gordon and run like I stole something
I get the remorse over smith, he played hard and ran fast
he isn't in their plans though nor should he be

Absolutely. A first for an expiring Eric Gordon would be a great deal.

Yup.
