“You get these people in positions like an Alvin Gentry, who cares more about his position than actually the competition of basketball, trying to win this series that we in. So, it was obviously a series that we could've won, but with him not using his whole roster and him just caring about, 'We don't have to win, as long as I get another extension on my contract, I don't really care about winning,' it's really doing a disservice to the whole state of Louisiana and the city of New Orleans. It's like, how about we try to win? And that would make the game better, honestly and that'd make the business better. I was with New Orleans and he didn't play me. I felt like it hurt the team because we needed guys that could compete on the scoring level of certain guys on the other team. So I just feel like it be too much of people's egos getting in the way.”

kind of sounds like he is just mad about not playing.

Gentry has been a perennial loser his entire career as a head coach so this isn’t surprising

But Crawford does seem bitter

If Crawford's actual impact on the court matched the perception he has of of himself, he'd be Kobe 2.0. It's astounding what dunking on Lebron in a gym run as a teenager can do for your ego.

He's just whining about bench players not getting run in a playoff setting which is silly. But entertaining still.

I think it's funny that his logic is Gentry wants job security so he is willfully losing in the playoffs

Well to be fair, Gentry has made a living on job security through relationships while losing.

Those two typically go hand in hand. I don't doubt that Gentry wanted to win, he just never figured out how to do it.

We had an advantage against them because we had strong, physical guys, big and small guards like Jrue Holiday, who could check a Kevin Durant or a Steph Curry.

Jrue was the only person who could guard either, he was on Durant and it went poorly. Crawford must've been drinking on the bench if he thought we had an advantage there.

Apparently all he had to do was play Crawford with the starters. Who knew?

We didn’t have to win because no one was beating Golden State, simple as that
