JV is an avid fisherman. Everything from bass to deep sea fishing. In the Orlando bubble, he would take his Grizzlies team mates and coaches out and teach them how fish nearly every day. The pictures below are from a trip he took to Norway a few years ago.

There are NBA players that are into fishing big time. Off the top of my head, the Clippers Paul George and the Pelicans own Garry Clark.
Maybe JV and PG should get together and start an NBA summer fishing tournament!
