Here's the thing...
Dumas and Griff do not get a pass because of bad ownership.
Ownership is terrible but it's terrible because it allows mediocre management to run the team.
Griff got everything he wanted the first few years minus going into the tax.
The issue imo isn't that Gayle prevents the GM/Coach from winning directly, it's that she hires/retains them to begin with.
Dumars? fricking clown hire that every non-race blinded person immediately said sucked.

I’m not saying Griff was a success, drafting players just wasn’t the issue. He made bad trades and then went on to waste assets trying to undo what he’d done with other bad trades. He made bad coaching hires, bad hire with the strength and conditioning guy, spoke using a ton words, but said nothing. He wasn’t a good culture fit, we can go on and on. All that being said, I don’t see a world where griff gives up an unprotected 1st for the 13th pick in last years draft. For my money, Dumars is worse, but neither is good

It was more the trades Griffin made that sank this team.
Traded out of number 4 instead of drafting Garland.
The Steven Adams trade.
Waited to long to trade Bi and got almost nothing.
The DD trade has been an utter disaster.
The Devonte Graham trade was bad.
Trading Ball for peanuts instead of for Lauri M.

Good to see the truth come to light more and more. The Pels will be gone by 2030, Saints by 2040 or sooner. Junk bond rating crime ridden no business city surviving on cuisine and tourism has no place with major league sports.
