No changes, here’s what I think our best starting lineup would be.

Murray / Fears
Murphy / Poole
Bey / Herb
Zion / Queen
Matkovic / Missi

I prefer the slightly more spacing Karlo provides
Next to Zion, he can hit the corner 3. Missi is a better fit next to Queen.

What I think dumars will roll out
Murray / Fears
Murphy / Poole
Herb / Bey
Zion / Queen
Missi / Matkovic

I love the Idea of a Fears/Murray backcourt!! Trey on the wing, I don't know how you fit in Queen, Zion, Bey, Herb. But I think new coach will focus on DEF, if you don't try hard, QUEEN, then you don't start. Maybe he'll even have the balls to sit Zion for low effort. Hopefully thats the case. If so it'll be
Fears
Murray
Bey
Herb
Missi

But I don't see that at all!

Fears
Murray
trey
zion
herb

but quick subs, bring in queen early for Z, and rotate in missi, karlo and Bey needs heavy minutes

Herb and Murray both have to start, because they are the only possible starters who play any defense.

EDIT: Bey is also a decent defender.

Most accurate description of the lineup ever.

Complete opposite. You do not need Herb to start with Murray's defense abilities.

You don't need Herb to start anyway because he's not a starter...

Bey or Fears = Starters

Herb = #5/ 6th man option on a contending team.

He's a year or 2 older than Zion, Trey, and Bey and was 24 when we drafted him. Lets stop acting likes he's a 22 y/o that's going to become a star.

If we added a player to fit with BI/ Trey and play Herb off the bench 2 years ago we wouldn't be in this position.

Honestly Zion should be a sixth man, I think this is his most valuable position playing 30ish mins a game and killing second units. If he’s playing really well you keep him in the game.

Fears
Murray
Murphy
Queen
Missi

Bey, Herb, Zion, peavy, Karlo off the bench

Depending on lineup maybe Bey starts and Missi comes off the bench.

That is a relatively deep team.

I'm really fascinated what happens with Poole. Our whole season pretty much hinges on his (and Hawkins) deal. If he just becomes a minimal contributor/shooter, it totally changes our trajectory. Its what we need the most. I'm hoping a new coach can get through to him and he becomes what he once was. His whole NBA career is riding on this season and he is an afterthought for most of us..

I would be on the phone to Miami regarding either Poole or, possibly, Hawkins, Aside from Fontecchio, they just traded away all their potential three-point firepower. Perhaps some sort of a trade involving Nikola Jovic (who is now odd man out in Miami) and either Poole or Hawkins could be orchestrated.

Otherwise, I would play Poole significant minutes to start the season with the hopes of rehabbing him for a mid-year trade for something of value.

DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE!!!

the delusion of you thinking this is an outcome that will happen is amusing.
Him being an expiring is his only redeeming quality.

I almost feel if we make no other big moves in the offseason we may need to keep Poole as salary filler/expiring for the season. I don’t see any circumstance he plays a pivotal role for us or is anything more than salary filler/expiring as value…but that value would be needed for midseason trade of Zion, Murphy, or herb potentially
