Asik can't play defense either. The guy can barely move his feet

Because Uncle Alroy is a poor head coach.

This. If Asik was going to contribute this was the game to do it. If he isn't going to be used against teams with great bigs then what is his purpose?

Did you watch the game or Marc gasol ever? Their offense runs through Gasol at the top of the key. Dude can knock down 15 footers or pass or take it to the rim. Bad matchup for Asik. Gasol would've went to the line 30 times if Asik played him

Davis got his lunch ate on both ends if we want to talk about a bad night

Agreed. Although his stats show otherwise. Anyone who watched the game, AD played like shite. Also in the first quarter we actually looked like a real basketball team and then Asik checked in....

I'll continue to beat the dead horse. At no point have i ever liked him on our team. He's pretty worthless.
But I will say the only time he was useful, was when we played the Grizzlies. He looks even slower and dumber than he was last year.

I understand why we had to sign him, but as i said before, he's going to hurt us down the road if and when we sign him, b/c he's not even close to being able to trade away.

There was a list of small time centers that i said over and over again that make under $4-5 million that could contribute at bare mininum as much as this dickhair does.

I'm so sick of people saying "oh it was a bad matchup for Asik". That is the excuse I hear game in and game out. Every matchup is bad for him. You can list the nbas top 20 centers and I guarantee you there won't be a single good matchup for Omer Asik.
Everybody can jump higher than him and score over him. Many centers these days are stepping out and playing further from the basket so that just puts Asik way out of place.
He's a liability sitting on the bench wasting money and he's a liability on D against most of the centers. We all know how liable he is on offense, it's sad to watch. He doesn't even play with any passion or fire.

It would be different if he got involved on the bench and cheered his team on, but that is far from the case. He sulks, pouts, and shrugs his shoulders. Body language literally says it all.

This is so confusing. We are blaming Asik while he sat on the bench and not the guys that gave up almost 40 points to Gasol? This should have been a good example for why we need a guy like Asik and not the other way around. I am shocked they would sit Asik and let Gasol just destroy us unless Asik is still injured. And if he is injured, I'm upset that he played at all.

Well, Asik has underwhelmed so far this season (and I supported re-signing him under the circumstances). Ajinca, who I thought had potential as a backup, has floundered. So frick me.

AD did have a bad night last night.

My 50 win prediction may be in trouble.

Asik had a +/- of -10 in just 5 minutes where the only stat he racked up were 2 personal fouls.

We better hope he's injured because if he isn't then he's either pouting or done, neither of which is good for us.

Rolo instead would have been smart, Issue is we gave rolo away.

We may have to give away eg and ryno to clean up mistakes (jrue, asik).

I just pointed out the Clean Slate 2017 plan in another thread, I doubt that's the direction they go. Demps and Gentry will be lucky if they get a 1 year injury reprieve, they won't get 2 which means we're in win now mode which never works out I think the odds are higher that they trade Gordon/Ryno/Pick for Melo than they use them to clean up the roster mistakes.

Yeah this is what scares me. We could put ourselves in a good position to get a top 5 pick and put some young talent next to AD for the future. However I just see Demps making a move that might make us better today but a move that will probably restrict us in the future. I think we really need perimeter and interior defense. That's really the worst area.

John Henson just signed a 4/$40 extension that kicks in next year and for some reason he's the 10th man in the Bucks' rotation. That might be the type of guy you can get for just an expiring.

With the way Ryno has played (on offense) he may be able to net a pretty solid asset...

I've been saying he's the Turkish Greg Ostertag for years. I'm not sure why front offices have been treating him like he's 8 times the player Ostertag was.

It's just terrible Dell was forced into signing him bc he lost a first for him and didn't want to let him walk for nothing but letting him walk would have been the most beneficial to the team. I really think he gets the amnesty. People were begging Demps to amnesty Gordon a few seasons ago, and I can actually see it happening with Asik. You have to get whatever you can for him, and if it means getting nothing and saving us some money then the trigger needs to be pulled bc he gives us nothing.

I don't think what we've seen from him so far is all he has left. It's not like he was making it off of speed and athleticism before. Surely he can recapture the rebounding at least. David Fisher from TBW had an interesting idea, have Asik with the 2nd unit and have the 2nd unit play slow, both to accommodate Asik and limit how wrong things can go when AD is on the bench. That's kind of what he did when he was in Chicago.

I wanna know what happened to pre-Dwight Houston Asik because clearly something has gone horribly wrong. He could be chronically injured and can't get past that or that could have been just a fluke. Let's see how many minutes he plays tonight
