Who else are the Pels going to be able to sign?

If we assume he is healthy going forward we should keep him for sure. I don't trust our training staff to evaluate anything properly.
Also it may hurt our relationship with AD as I doubt we get anything if he went elsewhere.

The realistic options are:
Pay Holiday
Trade for Rubio
Pay Patty Mills like a starter to leave the Spurs
Keep Tyreke as your PG (Not an option if Gentry stays)
Sign Darren Collison
Sign Brandon Jennings
Long term everyone on this list probably costs at least $10 million less per year than Holiday, but in cap dollars this offseason Holiday's cap hold is only $16 million, so that $10 million difference won't matter until 2018. That being said, the team has painted itself into a corner enough that this reminds me too much of the Asik situation.

Or draft
Can pair a rookie PG with Frazier for another year

Draft Fultz, Fox, or Ball.

From what I found out Dell is an Idiot he had a chance last year to trade Jrue for a young player with star potential and he said no.

Watch Jrue go back to Philly on a max next year

EG didn't want to be here and missed an entire season and GSW still offered Klay for him and he said nah.
Posted on 12/12/16 at 6:13 pm to 504ByrdGang
Just know this guy is certified star potential not just if he puts certain things together.
Posted on 12/12/16 at 6:21 pm to 504ByrdGang
either Play or resign... we should have gotten klay lol
Posted on 12/12/16 at 8:17 pm to chesty
Wasn't all the rumblings saying the klay trade was never available.

That's not what happened. Demps tried to do EG for Thompson and GS found it so laughable they leaked the offer so others could laugh too and they did.

Why not just tell us what the offer was?

TD doesn't let you send DMs. I just sent you one on PR.

Whoever it was is probably believable. After the trade deadline last year Zach Lowe said the Pels were over valuing Holiday "like he was Westbrook." so they obviously passed on something pretty significant.

Yes I don't really care I hate when people use vague shite too. Wolves offered Lavine for Jrue and Dell said no on last year trade deadline
Posted on 12/12/16 at 10:51 pm to TigerinATL
That's really depressing. We gotta fire Dell, like now.

We have gotten to the point where everything we do until we trade AD will be about pleasing AD. Convincing him that trading the 2nd best player on the team will help them get better seems like it'd be a pretty hard sell. And you're right, Demps isn't the person to make that pitch. It'd be nice if ownership cared enough to make a move now and bring in JVG before the trade deadline. Moving or not moving Holiday has huge implications and that decision is probably going to be made by someone that will not have the same vision as the GM for the rest of the AD era.
