I think Bey takes another step forward this year

Really like what he offered and how he played with us. Hoping he can continue to mature here and be something to build off of.

Not being a Debbie downer here but I kind of feel like Bey is what he is at this point in his career (which is a very good to elite role player). Can’t see him really adding anything to his game. Which is totally fine.

I get it, but he is only 27 and hadn’t played a full year in a few seasons. I think with some consistency he can build off his career high in pts and continue to add a little bit to his game.

He was recovering last year and working himself back into condition. I think he might be a bit better, but he's solid as is right now. He's built for the modern NBA as an almost prototypical 3/4 combo. The way he has transformed his body is just incredible. I'm praying that this rubs off on other players, to take conditioning and weight lifting seriously. I wouldn't mind us extending him now, with him taking most of Poole's expiring space going into the 27-28 season. I'd love for him to take a serious run at 6th man of the year. But given how fragile all our wings are, he'll start 50 games probably..

I’ll be very happy if he plays the same level he did last year. I don’t see him taking another step. He is who he is.

I think by "step forward" he just means taking on a bigger role. Bey might not add more to his game but he can become a 20ppg scorer continue to increase his stat averages for his career.
It was the best year of his career statistically and hes just entering his prime.
He has a better chance to become a 20ppg scorer than Trey does to develop a shot like BI.

Ehh I mean he's already an 18/5/3 guy on 45/37/84.
"Another Step" would be like 23/8/4 on 50/40/90 and an all star
Like others have said, I think he is what he is, and that's actually a really good player. I am perfectly fine with Bey maintaining for the next couple years.

I'm sure many Pels fans said that when we picked him up. Detroit and Atlanta fans too for that matter, especially after a year off. But at age 26 he took a clear step. Don't see why he couldn't get better.

You simply do not have enough hatred and distain for the Pelicans. Find a reason to hate the franchise, become miserable, and only then will you understand.

I dont see him adding much more to his game, but he’d just need more volume offensively for his stats to improve. Which those stats will go up with more shot attempts. This post is a compliment to him. His ability as a wing player to body guys in the paint for easy bucket is a so nice. He also shot the 3 very well.
