How does this 1st round picks compare to last year?

Way fricking better. If we keep throwing Zo on the court. We are in tank mode.

I would be so happy to have a top 10 pick in this draft.

There’s like 5 all star/superstar caliber talents and quite a few quality players outside of those 5

Feel like we are trending to about where Corey Kispert is gonna fall.
Keeping in mind I sort of think we aren’t as bad as our W/L ratio says but the team too flawed to really make a playoff push. So I don’t think we get Kuminga, Cunningham, Mobley, or either Jalen....Unless we hit the lottery.
Kispert is gonna get the same knocks Hield did because he’s a senior, and people are gonna want to talk themselves into guys with less tape on them but think they have a higher ceiling(and they might be right to do so, certainly haven’t watched nearly enough to know about a lot of guys), but if we are looking for a guy that can come in and be a SG/SF version of Reddick(with a slight bit better defensive potential), Kispert has the chance to be the best shooter in the league in a few years.

The hope for Kispert is that he can be a Joe Harris type guy. They’re both about 6’6 or 6’7 and Kispert looks like a sniper in college.

Whatever spot they end up with, they should just take the BPA approach again. At 13, I had Kira and Achiuwa as the two best players available and was happy we went with Kira regardless of our somewhat crowded backcourt.I always am pro BPA especially if you land in the late lottery of any given NBA draft.

I hope he’s not in this draft but if he is, Cam Thomas is the pick.

Yeah I’d say that’s his ceiling for me as well, or more specifically a Joe Harris that doesn’t take 5 years to develop...Doug McDermott his floor, Huerter his median.
So he’s a guy that at worse should be a consistent bench sniper in the league, but could, if things go right, be amongst the deadliest shooters and at least an average individual defender and solid team defender.
He’s not the guy I want, but if we end up around 10-12 again he’s a complimentary pick for our roster amongst the people I have watched mocked in that range

This might be one of the best classes in the last 25 years.
