How the Pels can benefit from Kevin Durant trade

Can the Pels even trade for Bam Adebayo now that Zion has signed his extension? It wouldn't be the same problem the Nets have with Simmons on their roster? Or is this rule not applicable until those extension years are in effect?

Yes you cannot have 2 players you traded for on DRE. Zion’s deal wouldn’t have an effect on that

A team can't have 2 rookies with a designated rookie max that were acquired by trade, so the Pelicans could make a move for Bam if they wanted to.

Evidently you did not read the article, this is not an article advocating a Durant to the Pels trade, it was merely saying if the Pelicans wanted to get involve with a 3 team trade, here was a good opportunity.

3way Durant trades have to include ayton going to team 3 (with PHX getting Durant and BKN getting ???)
