How far out of 10 do you think we need to be for Griff to face reality?

For those watching games still, what do AD and Joel say?

They get paid by the Pelicans. They say everything is great just bad luck. I listen to AD every day at lunch on XM NBA radio. I never hear him say anything bad. He always has a positive spin

You could sense a lot of frustration by AD. But he blames the players not the coaches. Although there are times he questions the gameplan.

Has it ever been reported just how much and how long Willie's extension was?

Mickey gave himself, Grif and Willie lifetime extensions.

Griff is in job-saving mode. I don't think he does the right thing by starting the teardown.

I doubt that's a Griff decision

Interestingly on his radio show AD did talk extensively about Ime Udoka and the Rockets. I'm paraphrasing a little but he basically said a lot of team culture comes from the coach, not the players, and even from the front office. It's created, AD said, not only by what the coach wants but, more importantly, what he won't tolerate from his players. He said Udoka is known as a coach who won't take any mess from his players and won't tolerate poor effort, lazy habits or sloppy execution. And that's how you create good team culture.

It was hard not to infer a pretty harsh critique of Willie Green and the Pels front office from this take on the Rockets and what has made them so good so soon...

I'm not sure how you justify Zion remaining on this team going forward.

At some point you have to admit you missed badly and there's no way to rehabilitate his career in NOLA. Maybe some team can fix him, and that would add salt to the wound but keeping him because he was a #1 pick and maybe he'll get healthy and take his career serious isn't going to get you anywhere. IMO it only feeds the seemingly bad culture right now.

On a podcast this week Shamit said there is another year left on it after this one.

I know you guys are ready to get rid of Griff, and I'm not against it, but I just don't see Gayle cleaning house. At best they would find a POBO that would tolerate inheriting much of the current staff. I could even see Swin taking his place, although I think that is less likely.
