Hornets, Suns, Wolves are nearing agreement on a 3-way deal that would send Robin Lopez to the Hornets in a sign-and-trade, sources tell Y!

I am cool with this.

Interested to see how the Wolves fit in. I wonder if Landry goes there maybe. Intrigued. I havrn't looked at their roster etc. today.

Yeah that is definitely an interesting wrinkle to the mix. I hope Demps can pull off something nice again.

Along with Lopez, Suns would send Hakim Warrick to Hornets. Minny would send Wesley Johnson and a 1st round pick to the Suns, sources say.

Lopez is far from a great player (no shite, right?). But he would be a very nice addition to this roster . . . again if the price isn't too ridiculous and only mildly so.

I thought Warrick would be a star when he came out of Syracuse..

I agree, he fits in well with what we needed.

I absolutely hate this deal. Warrick will be another $4m in salary next season to go along with Lopez's $4-5m (and he'll be our, what, 4th PF?). I know that we were unlikely to lure a max player here next season, but I really think that we could have made a trade for the Iggy/Deng/Gay type, but we're using up our flexibility on a guy that isn't really a good player.

I respect your opinion but I feel if we were able to make that happen then I think we would've. Honestly.

I agree about the flexibility, but there's a lot of time between now and then to make something happen cap space-wise if we needed it.

Wow, this is a bad trade for us. Warrick has a terrible contract and sucks and Lopez just sucks.

Don't ruin a great offseason with this crap move Demps!

Thats a pipe dream though. We literally have nothing to give for a player like those guys.

I think this is a pretty good deal.

Something doesn't make sense still. Minny sending a 1st round pick and Matthews and getting nothing back in return?

$4m isn't a terrible contract.
Especially when you consider that we still have a shitload of cap space.

Lopez just sucks.

We have no centers. He is one of the better FA centers available and is still fairly young.

we need depth this yr, and next offseason you can likely trade to warrick since his contract isnt that big

$4 million for a guy who is not good is a lot imo.

I'm not high on Lopez. I can be sold on him but when I've watched him, I was not impressed.
