Gotta be a little concerned that Davis played so shitty and got benched.

He's gonna have shitty nights for a year or two. We can deal with it.

blame it on the media for overrating him and calling him "the next Tim Duncan". that's a lot of pressure considering Duncan was an All Star in his rookie season putting up 21 and 12.

Davis just needs to take his time and develop.

12 minutes, 3 fouls, 1 of 3 from the field, 1 rebound

But Sexcutioner thinks he should have played more time than Smiht and Lopez.

Everyone should stop bitching and enjoy the win. We don't get many of them, so enjoy it.

I don't think the media overrated him. He's in the top 50 in the league in PER. He's fine. Just had a shitty game, as long as it doesn't become a trend.

Smith was playing well enough that I was more interested in Davis' reaction to being benched than I was him not being in there.

He turned into a cheerleader on the bench and was screaming support to his guys. That was good to see. He wasn't pouting, so I think he'll respond well.

Not that worried. He went up against one of the best in the biz and struggled. Oh well he's a rookie and he'll learn. You need bad games every now and then or you'll never learn.

Duncan was 2 years old during his rookie year. For that reason alone, it was kind of a poor comparison when looking at this year's performance.

Yep, Duncan came into the league older and far more experienced than Davis.

The term "over rated" is, itself, over rated and used too often when it's actually meaningless.

AD will be fine, sure Dirk gave him an education last night. What people have to remember is Duncan was older and more experienced coming in but he was also playing opposite David Robinson. AD will continue to develop as he and his teammates gain more league experience together.

Was AD "thrown under the bus" in this thread?

I'd appreciate it if you tried to tone down the flaming and name calling. Your attempts to provoke meaningless ill willed banter is not appreciated.
