Could make sense. Could make Finch the HC.

I just think fans think all these things are much easier than they are in actuality. Think about any billion dollar business -- How often do you see MASSIVE, wholesale changes all happen in two months?

Its very hard to do. Usually, you get a few key people in place, then evaluate for the next few months to a year, then either keep those other people or replace, etc.

a new POBO, GM, HC, trading of a franchise superstar, a new G League team, etc etc -- thats just a lot to all do in one offseason.

I like Gentry well enough. I really thought he wasn't much into young player development. We will be a young team with a lot of young players.

Is Finch a coach who is willing to develop young players?

I don't know the answer to that.

Finch is a guy i'd like to see get a shot.

Feel like he's had a very clear impact on how the team actually looks and operates on the court. Gentry preaches pace, but its Finch's system that had us a the top of the league in offense, despite the chaos.

This might have been covered but is Griffin going to be the POBO and GM? Or will he be hiring his own GM?

The more I think about it, the more I disagree. There are several things I would do first. Coach would be one of my last priorities, and I would be fine kicking the can forward a year if need be. I just don't think its that important in the scope of things.

Like Bunch said coaches are a dime a dozen for the most part. We're likely not winning much next year and not in a position to attract major FAs, so I'd rather them focus their efforts on all the other things that need attention.

Gentry/erman/Finch is a pretty good trifecta
if there’s any possibility of keeping that team together I do it

Pretty certain there will be layers, but titles unsure and Griffin will call shots.

I've long held the opinion that there's a small handful of shite coaches in the NBA, a smaller handful of really good/great coaches and the other 25 or so are about equal in terms of ability to get wins on sheer coaching ability.

I mean the guy who has the longest winning streak as a head coach (I count it) is the guy who just got fired after 2 losing seasons. A average/below average coach and more talent is almost always better than below average talent and a good coach. Just how it is in the NBA

Or maybe you keep Gentry and staff on for a year,

If you keep Gentry, the culture will never change. He's always been a loser, and he lacks accountability with his players. No more nice uncle. The culture must start to shift immediately.

The players matter more than the coaches in terms of a team's success. Great as the Warrior's scheme is. Having two of the best shooters be drafted by them is the reason they can do a lot of things they do.

Kerr coaching the friggin' Knicks wouldn't make them more than a well coached bunch of guys who lose a lot.

Get the staff together so we can get a team together. Keep Gentry or don't. Makes me no difference.

Getting the kind of program that can sustain and develop talent from within is what will take us far.

Mike D'Antoni is an idiot in LA and NY. A genius in Houston and Phoenix.

I don't buy it. He is what he is, the difference is the roster. Gentry overachieved in the playoffs last year, did a COTY worthy job with Suns when they pushed the Lakers to 7.

But he's an idiot and loser in other years. Again, I don't buy it.

I am fine with this staff from a culture standpoint and an X and O standpoint. I would like to see them add another player development guy or two, maybe move someone like Kevin Hanson over to coach the G League team. Let the new analytics and scouting department have a year to scout our coaches and other staffs and then have all that data to come to a more informed decision next year

Agree with all this. Feel like they should bring back Jamelle McMillan. I feel like a big reason our D took a dive (other than Julius Randle) was because he left

I couldn’t disagree more with this statement. Jrue and others have said that Gentry jumps their asses plenty enough. Just because he allows music at practice and isn’t a walking statue like Monty doesn’t mean he doesn’t hold players accountable. He had guys like a rondo and Cousins in check while here.

Is he a top tier coach? No. But how many of those actually exist? 3? 4? Maybe 5?

Agreed.

Make gentry the hc of the warriors and give us Kerr and I would seriously doubt the records of each team are much different than what they are today.

People won't like that. But I think Reddish is going to crush the predraft workouts and you'll hear his stock is rising or whatever

He changed the culture of the team this year alone. How many games did the team average 110+ points per game this year without?

The team was much different than in previous years. He accomplished a lot without a star player that gave a shite for 40% of the season.

Listen to his press conferences after a loss. His attitude is way to passive and you know that carries over into other things. Lose a game they shouldn’t have, and it was always “blah blah it’s a long season, so and so will get better”. How many times do they have to lose before you call his shite?

Any successful reboot starts with a culture change. “Building a culture.” Listen to saints players talk about the culture. The Warriors, the dream team, whomever. If there is no one to line up daily actions that lead to succes, then you’ve got nothing. Gentry has proven year after year he is not that guy.

If he is telling everyone to be patient the wins are coming or it’s still too early, he’s telling his players the same shite and in turn is not getting their best. Gentry is nice but he’s a loser. Bottom line
