I just trust them both more than Tatum. If you swap Tatum with either of them on that Boston team, they still win the title.

I think people need to realize how deep & talented Boston as a team is. Tatum had a similarly disastrous finals series vs Dallas like LeBron did a decade ago and yet they still won in 5...

Tatum: 38.8/26.3/92.6 shooting; 22.2 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 7.2 APG, 3.2 TOV, 0.6 BPG, 1.0 SPG

James: 47.8/32.1/60.0 shooting; 17.8 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 6.8 APG, 4.0 TOV, 0.5 BPG, 1.7 SPG

Look at the other 4 main guys (since Brown's was posted above):

Holiday: 53.6/42.1/100.0; 14.4 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 3.8 APG, 1.4 TOV, 1.2 STOCKS

White: 38.9/39.5/100.0; 13.8 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 2.6 APG, 1.2 TOV, 2.2 STOCKS

KP: 58.3/22.2/87.5; 12.3 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 0.3 APG, 0.3 TOV, 1.7 STOCKS

Horford: 52.0/47.1/50.0; 7.0 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 2.6 APG, 0.6 TOV, 1.8 STOCKS

and then thats not even taking into account Hauser who was shooting like a madman
Hauser: 51.9/47.8/100.0; 8.2 PPG, 3.0 RPG, 0.6 APG, 0 TOV, 0.2 STOCKS

That being said --- in a world where 5 of your top 7 guys account for 55 points on >50% FG% that's absolutely bonkers.

It's probably easier for me to just throw out a ranking. Obviously this is just my opinion and it's for a 1 season re-draft (ignoring contracts), so age doesn't matter a ton. It gets a bit harder in the 30's. And, IMO there are currently only 21 players who are true number 1's (obviously this can change during the season).

Jokic
Doncic
SGA
Giannis
Steph
KD
Embiid
Tatum
ANT
Brunson

Booker
AD
Wemby
LeBron
Mitchell
Kawhi
Butler
Haliburton
Zion
Banchero

Ja Morant
Jamal Murray
Fox
PG
Bam
Maxey
Brown
Kyrie
Dame
Young

Siakam
Gobert
Sabonis
KAT
Markkanen
Sengun
JJJ
Chet
DJ Murray
BI

The line breaks are me just counting by 10's, not meant to represent tiers.

No one is taking Kawhi before Hali in a redraft. I did forget Ja existed for a sec

In a one season scenario? I absolutely think that Kawhi would go above Haliburton.

I think AD is a huge bitch.

But frick, his season was elite. 25/13/4 and 3.5 stocks. Elite defense with high efficient offense.

It was, but IMO it's hard to build a team with someone like him as your number 1 option, because his offensive game isn't good enough for your offense to go through him.

He's been our best player in the Olympics too, on a roster full of superstars.

I'm comfortable hating him while recognizing his talents. I've always hated every Laker, so I'm used to it..

BI has more value to the team playing out the year than trading him as a 1yr rental since that’s his market.

BI wants $$$. Nobody wants to give it to him (as of now) making it a foregone conclusion that he’s walking no matter what.

The only way BI is valuable enough to play out the year without an extension or be traded is if you believe we have a legit shot at winning a title.

If you don’t believe that, then him walking after this year for nothing is absolutely a failure.

David Griffin is mechanically incapable of making smart decisions.
