Demps gets a lot of criticism for his mistakes, and rightfully so. However, releasing a fan favorite Jordan "Instant Grits" Crawford and signing Jameer Nelson is a move that might add 3-5 wins on the year alone.

This is not an endorsement for him keeping his job after this season, but I like to give credit where credit is due.

It was also a move he had to do because he had no PGs besides Rondo (and sort of Jrue) on the roster.

So he backed himself into a corner.

But yes, it was a good move.

While I don't think your comment was aimed at Nelson, you should feel bad for inadvertently calling Jameer a turd.

I mean, he's usually good at adding end of bench talent. It's just everything else he sucks at

Yep. He always has sneaky good bench signings. But he has killed the team with a lot of bad big deals: Asik, Holiday, Hill, etc

Wait. These are bad deals? First I'm hearing if this.

He did a great job of allowing Denver to cut Nelson in order to sign him. Well executed by Demps I must say.

We are at 2 and it's been 5 days so.. I'd say that's a low estimate

This is simply not true. He has done a good job of bringing talent to New Orleans. His roster constructions have been fricked by injuries.

Considered the turds he laid with Jrue, Asik, Rivers, etc, etc, etc - nice to see at least one or so moves work out

Curious, has anyone picked up Crawford? Any chance we bring him back?

They are supposedly signing Josh Smith which means no Crawford. I don't see where he'd get minutes anyway. Jameer is playing great, Jrue is playing better, Moore and Clark are earning their minutes, Allen is starting to get more minutes and with any luck Rondo will be back in a few weeks.

Right! When was the last time this team started the season healthy? I can't blame the bad luck with injuries on Demps.

I know. However, every bad move he made has 10 different threads on the PT board. I just wanted to acknowledge it when he does something good
