That Brandon Boston shine is wearing off and landing on Reeves.
I think that Karlo looks pretty good, but timid. Maybe he doesn't have the green light to shoot since he's been camping out around the rim on offense.

Boston is a complimentary player. He was never going to look good without a star to play off of.

It was like 6 years ago, but there were reports at the time that Gayle’s preference was for Gentry to remain as coach.
And yes like I said, he could have negotiated it and fired Gentry, but we had way bigger fish to fry without adding a coaching search to it. Hell we only had one scout at the time if that lets you know anything about how bad of a state the front office was in.

It’s incredibly stupid that we’ve been giving minutes to Nowell and Cain instead of the guy we made a trade for in the 2nd round to draft in Reaves.

She can fire a coaching staff and GM. She's the owner supposedly.
Have you seen the talent the coach currently has to work with?
Yes I've seen it for 4 yrs and his talent is not at coaching. lol!

Interesting I never read she wanted him to stay but I’ll take your word for it.
Regardless, the SVG thing was very odd and never understood the whole supporting Hart or BI over your coach- not that SVG was some amazing coach but its the principle of the matter. Once players know they can control firings of coaches- the respect/fear factor for the head coach quickly disappears.

Glad Reaves is having a decent game but he hasn’t shot well behind the arc and his defense is REALLY BAD. And in his great game we’re down by 30 plus.

Y’all are better men than me. I can’t make myself watch the Pels right now. Just sporadically checking scores nightly puts a bad taste in my mouth.

Reeves will end up being on the pels for a couple years. He is going to carve out a role.
13-24 and you are shitting on him. Weird.

Just think about the poor season ticket holders. Pelicans should offer some type of partial refund for the sorry shite show

I don’t think so. You’re letting your eyes fool you with this game. He cant guard at all and hes small. As a shooter hes barely shooting 30% from 3. Maybe he hangs around in the league but hes not a rotation guy.

Im not shitting on him. Hes having a good game while we’re down 30- its just perspective. Hes nice end of bench guy on some NBA teams. Thats it.

I've been saying reeves will make himself a spot on the team.
Has nothing to do with this game.

Yeah he has at the end of the bench. So you were correct.

Of all my gripes about griff’s unbuild of the pelicans, the coaching moves probably are the biggest. Would love to see what the right coach could have done here.

Yeah he looked terrible but who else was supposed to handle to ball.
I still really like Boston. This game shouldn’t change anything. He’s a good bench piece, who is way over taxed in a situation like tonight

I just don’t get why Missi only got 19 minutes. Maybe cuz he was already questionable going into the game? But if that’s not the reason then he should have played 30 mins

Has he tho? The team we played tonight had far less assets than Griff and has surpassed us in their rebuild.
Actually the core of that team could have all been added by Griff. I even argued for three of the players to be added a few times on here.
Garland, Allen when he was originally traded by the Nets, and Spyder when traded from the Jazz.
Griff could have easily added these three together. They are what 16-1 now? And he’d still have must of the war chest. Or more than he has now.

Trey Jemerson that's why

This is my fear with Green. Let's say we let him go after we get blown out by the Warriors. Then we elevate Borrego. We are still 4-13 with most players out. We are supposed to have everybody, but Zion, back by the beginning of next year (2025). That's 14 games. Even if we go .500 over that stretch, that 11-20. To get to 45 wins, to make the play-in, we'd have to go 34-17 the rest of the year. I just don't see that happening. But if it does, that's a pretty amazing turnaround. So then Borrego gets another year (new contract), we probably extend Ingram and we run it all back. It's all the same, with minor tweaks, for next year. That probably all still happens if we get to 36 wins.
I'd rather let Green keep shitting the bed. Then clean house, followed by a full rebuild. That includes a new owner, GM, coach, training staff, and mostly all new players. That doesn't happen if we have any success..

I don’t think it does. Being ten games under .500 is going to be hard to be labeled as progress to the point we run it all back. Due to tax issues, BI and/or CJ is more than likely gone by the deadline or after this year. Zion may be back but this current iteration will likely be different.
