Luka has some weapons now. We really could use the frontcourt depth and rim protection that Gafford brings. Instead, a conference rival got him and PJ Washington for nothing while we stayed pat.

I don’t know how good Gafford will be for Dallas but it’s getting old every year at the deadline we’re in multiple trade rumors but nothing ever happens. We seem to always be in the conversation about unrealistic trade targets. Griff seems to know how to keep the fan base engaged and management off his rear end without making any commitments mid-season. Which allows him to kick the can down the road a little longer. It might just be me expressing my disappointment. Only time will tell though.

Did you even listen to him during the Lakers game? Those rumors are not originating from the Pelicans side. We're just a name being bandied about by agents and rival GMs to drive up the market.

I guess you believe everything Gruff says, sir. I'm sorry but I don't. My comment wasn't for you so I don't understand your passion. Move along my friend.

You're worried about rumors not coming true, but you believe the rumors. Griff was completely correct, if you're hearing a trade rumor, it's because the rumor benefits one of the teams involved. That's usually the seller.

Like the squad we have now. They will only get better as the season goes on too. Willie has learned that it’s important to intentionally get Zion involved early because BI and CJ will still be able to find their own rhythm regardless of how they with Zion. It’s also good to have one of your stars on the floor at all times like we do with Z or BI.

Also, Gafford would be a horrible fit with Zion. He is the polar opposite of the spacing big that everyone is clamoring form

Sir, I'm not worried about anything my post said disappointed. Yes, I'm disappointed because I disagree with you. I think we could use a little help at the 5. I don't think we need anything else. If you don't agree that's fine. My only hope is we focus on the little additions that I feel we need. Why are you so triggered by my feelings are concerning to me and what may be a bigger concern is why am I responding to someone who appears to be a teenage bodyguard of Griff? I got to be better than this.
You are right young man I should not have posted my thoughts on this board. My bad. I'm sorry. Can we just move on sir?

You are right. We are not going to give up the farm just to make a trade. Gafford, in my opinion, was never a realistic trade that the Pels were probable not going to make for reasons such as cost and fit.

This Pels Talk board is a conversation where thoughts, comments, theories, ideas are discussed and evaluated.

Most all the participants on this board are knowledgeable, informative, and fun. Keep it up.

Don't need him to fit with Zion as much as we need his 20 MPG of quality defense in the 2nd unit.

Where are you finding 20 minutes without Zion on the court?

This is what I was responding to.

I wouldn't have been upset if we had sent a couple trash assets for Gafford like Dallas did, but I also don't think Gafford is someone who warrants hand-wringing.

Remember last year when people freaked out because the Mavs got Kyrie and the Pels didn’t make a move? That was the move that was going to put Luka and the Mavs over the top.

Maybe let it play out a bit.

Suggesting this team needs help at the 5 is a crime in the eyes of Galactic. No objectivity there

Settle down and stop shitposting and maybe the problem goes away. Bring a little substance to your arguments next time.

You must be a liberal. Having an alternate opinion is shitposting in your eyes. If everyone thought like you, the world would be a lot dumber
