Are you forgetting him flashing out for the pels and them still not wanting anything to do with him because of his attitude? That came from multiple insiders.

6 seasons 6 teams is telling.

Even if you take it from the time he's come into his own. A dude who can average 18 & 10 on elite 3pt shooting for a big doesn't play 3 teams in 4 years, just getting tossed from team to team without huge returns. Much like the 2 dudes with bad reps being the only 2 to get suspended, teams giving up on him so soon is also not a coincidence.

I feel like it literally is the Twilight Zone with this guy every 4 months around here lol

Again, it was a numbers game here. People injected speculation, and maybe there was truth to it, but the facts were we drafted Jax, signed Meli, drafted Zion, traded for Favors, and Okafor was guaranteed and Wood was part of the old regime.

Wood's options were stay here unguaranteed through training camp or ask to be let go and go somewhere he could compete and with a more favorable situation, which he did, and we did, and he made Detroit's roster. Was praised by Detroit's staff for his growth and dedication, they wanted to resign him, but he went to Houston cause he wanted to win.

The irony is most people were ok back then cause they were absolutely certain we already had the better version of Wood in Jax, and 4 years later the gap between the 2 has only widened.

It was more definitive unless multiple insiders were wrong, but according them there was "no way" the org was keeping him.

It's a solid blue collar team that fits well for a guy like Luka that has such huge gravitational pull and needs the ball in his hands. They can legit run a bunch of sets where they put Luka with 4 shooters around him, which can be devastating.

Everyone loves Luka, but their second best is….Wood? Hardaway? Dinwiddie?

Non of those guys are on CJs level, & he’s our 3rd best player. Behind Zion and the second coming of Jesus Christ himself, of course.

Our defense will be improving & at the end of the day, it’s basketball. A sport that the offense fundamentally has the advantage.

My big question is “What happens when Luka is out for any extended period?”

This can be for an injury, suspension, foul trouble, or pretty much anything.

You mean insiders like Zion hates New Orleans and is going push for a trade or the Piano story which all the bloggers said was as bad and worse?

Honest question, what local dudes said unequivocally that Zion was going to push for a trade?

First, now is not the time to rehash this kind of stuff. We should be putting out positive vibes.

Second, we will probably never know just how strained things were or what would have happened if the team hadn't pulled Herb and Jose out of thin air. But it's not crazy to think that the Pels situation would be closer to the negative narratives if last offseason had gone as badly as it initially looked instead of sneakily being one of the best set of moves in franchise history.

Back to the positive vibes, it's Game Day!

Yeah the rule changed a while back, but it was like that for a minute. Off-season cobwebs.

But I sort of lean that it should be still that way.
The schedule is weighted to divisional foes, still.

And I will continue to correct BRmark, as he says outlandish shite.

Good point. You can't take anything they say seriously.

Got their first win last night. It's been an odd start. But I'm pretty sure they will rebound and be alright. I sold the Bucks short. Few others teams in the East are surprising (good and bad). Heat have been awful too.

I'll stick with it for now. I don't think anyone had the Blazers first overall or the Hornets, Jazz and Spurs as top 4 seeds..

I'll just remind everyone that the 2018 Orlando Magic started 5-1, and finished 25-57 in the bottom 5. We started 4-0, and finished 33-49.
The 2014 76ers started 3-0, finished 19-63, worst in the league.
Washington started last year 5-1, 10-3, and finished 35-47.

The Jazz and Spurs are going to be tough outs every night, but they aren't sniffing the playoffs, and if they keep it up, they'll trade guys away to ensure they stink.

just a bump to see what we all thought the standings would look like in the preseason.

No one saw the Kings doing what they did, or the Thunder.

every one pooped on griz and moved them down. 50 wins again and in 2nd seed again but no Adams and no clarke says out early vs lakers.
alas.
