The problem with this team and has been for the past god damn decade is injuries. What would our record be if we had everyone healthy for every game.

I’m as frustrated as any, but I’m not sure that losing a close game last night without two starters on SEGABABA is really the time call to blow it up.

This. AD is guaranteed to demand a trade. You'd want someone who's not inept to be at the helm when his trade value is highest, and Dell will end up fricking everything up.
Face it - you all know it.

I want to see what this team can be with a small forward BUT with that being said.. If it is not enough and we can somehow manage to get a kuzma/hart package with 2 first and get a small forward for Mirotic we may be able to work with it. If we can somehow get Kemba would this be a better lineup? I think maybe.
Kemba/ Payton
Jrue/ Hart
Otto porter type
Randle/ Morris
Kuzma

Essentially we trade for a small forward this year and see how far we can go. If it is not enough and we could land someone like Kemba in free agency, wouldn't it be worth it to gain the skills from Kemba at point knowing we would get tons of front court value from an AD trade?

+/- is not a good gauge to judge how someone is playing.
You think that it's just totally random that AD has the biggest differential on the team? Or that the starters have solid differentials and the bench players have terrible differentials?
You can say it's not a good judge of how someone is playing, but it's certainly a good judgment to tell me how a team plays when that someone is on the court vs off the court. And the numbers prove that the team is more than just fine when AD on the court so the real issue is when he's not in the game(meaning bench play).

What lineups is he playing in? (Surrounded by starters or bench players?)
What lineups is he getting most of his + against? (Starters or bench players)
Alot of bench players will have a negative +/- because they are surrounded by other bench players, you just have to hope they can keep it close to give your starters enough rest.
Look at Brandon Ingram, hes a -5 or so with LBJ on the court, but a +15 or some shite without him, does that mean Ingram is a bad player?

I like to check in on threads like this so that I can get a handle on who are the Pelisons and who are the Pelitards.

The problem is that Dell has already done the damage and I am not sure the team can recover to keep AD on board unless he pulls a rabbit out of a hat
And in that respect it really feels like deja vu right now.
Still plenty of time to correct things but as is the trend feels eerily familiar to the period right before CP3 departed.
A subtly frustrated star, a front office that had stayed on far too long and deeply mismanaged their roster, allowing themselves to be pushed into a corner, forced toward one last desperation push on the eve of a contract season to gather a few pieces to maybe convince him to stay with an organization he would never choose in a neutral situation thanks to all the mismanagement, fans working through the stages of grief “maybe money and a Trevor Ariza will keep him!!!.”
And the irony being the one that led us down this path is the guy we originally brought in to keep CP3 from leaving after the prior regime mismanaged his tenure. Now the cycle repeats.

For 37.5 minutes per game, we thoroughly outplay our opponent. For the other 10.5 minutes, we get absolutely destroyed. What would you point to as the reason for our mediocre record?

Right. Because any fan who gets irritated watching wasted talent, while the team hovers at the 500 mark just doesn't know basketball.

IDKY I KEEP COMING AND READING THIS BS...I really try to avoid responding to these stupid threads but sometime I can't let it go. when Payton comes back healthy and slides everyone back into there right spots/roles, this team while be back to same post boogie team of last year. and dell has done a great job since ajinca/osik offseason. not to mention he kicked arse in correcting both signings before the end of them.
and the Dallas flockin mavericks!!!! lmaoooooooo
y'all really think smith and doncic or gonna lead them anywhere hahahaha
everyone knows dallas can't bring in top tier FA talent
until time breaks up warriors, it really don't matter anyway
all this team needs is a healthy Payton and a solid wing addition at trade deadline to be back in western conference final four

Obviously your posts are important and your time limited. This is fully exhibited by your inability to fully type out the word “your”.
