This team is irritating the unholy frick out of me.

I think it's time, sons. Watching this team is like watching a relative on his deathbed.

Dell needs to be canned and someone brought in to start the process. I no longer trust this man. He did his best and is now just wasting Davis's prime years while the Pels drift around the 9 spot.

This is some bullshite.

I’m as frustrated as any, but I’m not sure that losing a close game last night without two starters on SEGABABA is really the time call to blow it up.

I disagree. We have room to operate next year. No point is blowing it up now while the season is young.

The problem is that Dell has already done the damage and I am not sure the team can recover to keep AD on board unless he pulls a rabbit out of a hat.

Not so fast. Bring in a competent front office and head coach and see what they can do with AD.

I see that as another Dell type of problem creation. Wall is somewhat of a malcontent with an albatross of a contract.

You're going to have to bring in another fringe superstar if AD is going to stay, bad contract or not. There WAS time to try the bargain bin and hit big but we whiffed on Solo.

Now you've got to make a splash to show winning is top priority, regardless of the long-term implications. OR... we trade AD and move on.

Unless you have AD telling you that Wall is what it would take for him to stay, we should not burden the future of this team with Wall and his contract.

Unfortunately, I'm boarding the trade AD train more and more everyday. He becomes aggressive AD and hes the best player in the league, he doesn't keep that mentality going though like the actual best player in the league should. We had every chance to win that game last night thanks to Jrue and Randle, we seen good/aggresive AD most of the night, but it seemed like in the last 5 minutes when Jrue tied it up AD gave up and just started playing hot potatoe with the ball. That's not what you want out of your superstar, that's the times hes supposed to take over the game and have that "We are not losing this game no matter what" mentality.

The Clippers are showing you can win without a true superstar, I'd send AD to LA for Ball, Ingram and Kuzma (with KCP for salary filler), then flip Hill and a 1st to ATL for Bazemore. We would be 10+ deep with those 2 moves and be able to give any team in the league fits including GS.

That team would not give GS fits. Too many here get too high after a win and too low after a loss. Stop and think about how the Pelicans could ever get another AD.

You're underestimating the defensive prowess that lineup could have, we would basically be missing an answer for a Boogie/ Draymond lineup, but you could always pickup a big in the buyout market to bully Boogie while Randle handles Green, and you still keep a good offensive presence.

Even if we trade AD, this won't be a burn it to the ground rebuild. You'll still have Jrue, Moore, Payton, and one or both of Niko and Randle. Add on to that whatever you get in return for AD.

Let's just say for hypothetical they trade Niko/Hill/Wes in season for Porter and Morris. In the off-season they split with AD and trade him for Kuzma/Hart/Ingram and picks. Resign Payton and Randle (who given that they would be trading AD into cap space to the Lakers they might be able to sign to a long term deal assuming they were far enough under the cap at that point).

A starting 5 of Payton/Jrue/Porter/Ingram/Randle with Kuzma, Hart, Morris, Moore and others off the bench is a super deep team that can win a lot of games in the regular season. Then you finally have picks as well to build up cheap depth.

That's just an example. But trading AD, if it comes to that, doesn't mean we go the way of the Process Sixers.

We're 12-13.

Last season at this point we were 13-12.

It's not time.

I don't know what you guys are watching sometimes.

Per 100 possessions this season:

AD on the court: +9.4
AD off the court: -14.1

This should go without saying but AD is the least of our problems. We lose games when he's out or on the bench.

We're 0-4 when he doesn't play. And there were 2 bad games during that 1st injury run where he was clearly injured and likely shouldn't have played that were losses as well that don't fall under that 0-4 count.
