Sadly it will always be that way in small market towns.
Keep winning and the culture may flip more, but you can search in here and see the countless fans who would rather dump their tix to ppl that are willing to spend double/triple on this 1 single game…

I came in tonight for the game. I was so mad waiting to get into the Blender with all the Laker fans. There were even booths set up down Girod selling bootleg Laker jerseys. I was quite happy watching them all leave early. My wife and kids now understand the hate I have for that damn team. Happy we made the trip!

Yeah I dont get this comparison. When I was in BR there were a bunch of Astros fans and this was well before they were winning.

Lakers are a national fan base much like Steelers, Cowboys, Yankees, Red Sox, Notre Dame, etc.
