Fact is with Zion playing we are slightly below 500 and due in part because of Zion himself it hasn't happened.
In fairness, if you break that down further, we are the equivalent of a decent to good team when Zion is on the court. It's when he goes off the court that we fail, that includes games he's playing in.

In other fairness, our 3 ball shooters will only be better at the craft when Zion opens the floor up.

That’s true of any shooters, so it’s a weird thing to point out as if it somehow justifies the critiques of having a bunch of guys that really aren’t qualified for their current roles.

Like, yeah, those guys probably look better when Zion comes back, what’s the point? You still wouldn’t want them to be your “guys” in those roles if you are trying to get to championship

we shouldn't be slightly below .500 with a healthy Zion in his third season.

He’s played one full season

With Zion, the roster has progressively gotten worse with each of his three seasons.

The roster is not worse this year than last year.

They are both pretty awful.

Yep. Griff should not be here when we pick in the lottery this year.

Question is, who do we even hire?

The roster is a solid roster when healthy. You can’t criticize the guys that are deep on the roster not being starter caliber when you have two all-stars out hurt. It is ridiculous. Honestly I don’t understand how you can blame Griffin for Zion or BI for being hurt.

A top 3 players of BI, Zion, and Jonas is damn strong. The rest of the team has some solid role players/potential developing talent.

You can blame him for how he his drafted and signed around them.

Again, we're in this thread talking about how we would be slightly below .500 with a healthy Zion instead of 1-11 without Zion. Griff has done a pitiful job building around him and that isn't even remotely debatable.

I don’t think the team is slightly below 0.500 when healthy. I think they would have a winning record.

I really think it’s critical we know how much involvement Trajan and others have in the decision making process. We know for a fact that Didi and Melli were both on Trajan and that T Spoon has had a relationship with Kira since he was a kid. Saying “well he still signed off on them!” While also saying “he’s a dictator” is completely hypocritical. I’m not a huge fan of all of his moves or picks but we really should be looking at the front office as a whole and not just him. We also should be holding these under performing professional players more accountable.

You can blame the players that are hurt that the role players have had to play in a far different role than they're used to, like NAW having to try to be THE lead scorer, which in turn makes those role players look bad because they are playing a role they are not comfortable with.

We don't even have any games with Zion in his 3rd season. We could still suck or maybe the pieces fit when he's there. I don't think that given the western conference our with Zion record is some point of shame. It's not what I want but also not entirely unexpected.

Sorry if my wording was confusing was saying our record hasn't been around 500 because he hasn't been available, not that he's responsible for us not being better when available. I mostly agree with you. Our point differential last year was better than our record for most of the year. As bad as the bench has been over the past few years though I think close games are the biggest reason our record with Zion is where it is.
