from this very thread, also not looking very good.

Currently no it doesnt. Dyson has had a great stretch against some bad teams recently. Before that he was having a down year across the board in several important advanced stats you ignored.

Let's see how it looks in the play in for them when the competition improves.

Funny you post this and next game they beat the #1 seed on their home court. DD with 16 pts 13 Rebs 4 assists.

Funny you say they beat the 1 seed when they didn't even have their MVP candidate.

Its like you have to be disingenuous with every argument you make

Pistons are somehow still good without CC. They just ended the Lakers winning streak. I was watching the game yesterday and Dyson smoked the most ridiculously easy layup, I was actually shocked an NBA player could miss that.

Dyson with the triple double last night,

13 pts
10 Rebs
12 assists to 1 turnover
2 steals
60% fg

Led all players on the court with a +36 in the win….

He’s an incredible winning player. Every time I check his stats he has 0 or 1 turnovers max.

Dyson has really turned it on the back half of the season. Trading for cj really helped.

DD is shooting better from outside in past few games. FTs still a problem.

Biggest problem is that DD just will NOT shoot enough from outside (3s)...he MUST just bite the bullet and start shooting 3s...no matter what his 3-pt% is...he can NOT be taken seriously by a contending team in the NBA until he adjusts his game to today's NBA. This is the major reason there are several serious contenders that are very interested in trading for Herb Jones...but those same teams have a huge problem in finding a way to use DD...especially at $25M/yr for the next 4 years. Pretty simple...just up to DD to show he can make the leap. I'm still optimistic on DD.

Last 30 games he has shot over 28% from 3 which is still bad but at least closer to his career averages. Which leads me to believe he was just in a major mental funk during that shooting drought.

On the flip side, he’s currently a top 5-6 wing in the league in fg%.

Dysons last game, he has put up better numbers than Herb has for the entire month of April.

I think we should start a thread debating Dyson vs Zion

Herb and Dyson are both class guys, winning players and don't deserve to be torn down in favor of one another.

Let's have a sincere discussion about

Zion vs BI
Zion vs NAW
Zion vs Hart
Zion vs Dyson
Zion vs Jonas
Zion vs Jose

Personally, I think Zion goes 0-6 in those matchups

The only guy he might have a leg up on is Jaxson Hayes and even that one is a true debate

Seasons over, regular season results are in since only one of the two players was able to help lead his team to the playoffs….

Herb. ——— DD
8.9 ——— 11.9 Pts
3.4 ———- 6.8 Rebs
2.8 ——— 5.9 Assists
1.6 ———- 2.0 Steals
0.5 ———- 0.4 Blocks
38.3 ———- 51.7 Fg%
30.9 ———- 18.8 3pt%
80.6 ———- 61.5 Ft %
49.1 -———54.2 TS
-0.9 ——— +4.0

quote:

You went all in on him being the better player than Herb eventually. I'm here to point out that he's not and will never be. Dyson still has 81 games to prove me wrong

Townedrunk serving the buffet of crow as usual. Let’s see if Whatidontknowsofar wants to finish up the thread by waving the white flag or will we see the usual excuses or not see him at all…..

DD has outperformed Herb the last two years, only two years he has started and was a big reason they are in the playoffs this year. I expect him to be named to the all nba defensive team again for the second year in a row.

So yes, Griff did ultimately chose the wrong player to trade. Not to mention the extra firsts it cost us that will hamper our rebuild once again.

i can give a shite about the thread but i feel like comparison are being made for players that do different things. but with that being said, herb has been a disappointment as his season has progressed.
