Still talking to multiple teams. But it will be the Knicks or the Celtics, and the deal will be finalized in late May/Early June. Draft Lottery in May 14th.

Knicks pick is #1 and they can put together a package that can rival or even beat the Celtics best package. They get #2 or #3 and it could compete with Boston's if the Celtics don't give up absolutely everything the Pels want (Smart, Brown, Tatum, and 3-4 picks including Memphis pick)

The ONLY way the Lakers steal this thing is if they can get actual guys and/or picks the Pels like. Because there is not a single thing the Pels love from the Lakers. Every item the Lakers have to offer is what my guy calls a 'Tier 3 or Tier 4' piece. He calls Zion and Tatum 'HIGH Tier 2 pieces' and says they would get that AND Tier 3/4 pieces so they aren't in the running. But they have given Lakers ideas of guys/picks they would highly value - and if the Lakers can get those things, then they have a shot.

As for Jrue - yes, they have gauged his value, but this is information gathering for May/June. Knowing they could get X and Y is information that could be useful for the next GM. The Knicks path is likely more of a total rebuild path than the Boston one, and if the Knicks do get the top pick and the Pels make that trade, then it is possible (though unlikely) they could move Jrue.

Niko, Moore, Randle -- Randle still the most likely to move. Niko and Moore possible, but not as likely. No great offers for any of them yet.

Do you know the pieces they told the Lakers to get? I'm guessing Beal would be 1?

This makes me very happy. That Boston package sounds really good. And one problem I have with the Knicks package is the 2 future picks are from NYK and Dallas which could both be good teams by then.

Is it safe to say they prefer Tatum over the Knicks pick?

Not if the Knicks pick is #1

Beal is one, but some of the other guys were laughable.

I'll leave it at this -- Lakers wont be able to fetch what the Pels want. But they send them on the errand like a little dog. It's funny.

It will be the Celtics or the Knicks.

This is awesome news. Celtics or Knicks is virtually best case scenario. Best assets plus putting him in the East.

But what about the AD saying he'll be a rental to anyone not called the Lakers? This won't deter other teams from trading for him? Or is it just Rich Paul posturing?

AD likely has taken the court for the last time for the Pels. They will mask it under the guise of injury. But there is nothing to be gained by him ever suiting up for us again.

I mean obviously they both think they can convince him to stay and the pels most likely have talked to them so they know all these things.

The Lakers would have to give up on next year, not sign anyone this offseason to have a max spot in 2020, so no, he can’t sign with the Lakers in 2020 b/c they aren’t going to wait for him at Lebrons age.

Thanks for sharing this Crewz! I’m good with either Zion and Knox or the Celtics package. I just wonder what will happen with Niko in the offseason. I would like to keep him.

perfect. i kept screaming this yesterday

if ingram, ball, etc have value, the lakers need to secure that value and deal it to us. they're not worth nearly as much to us as players

I'm not up to date with the Lakers cap situation, but they could open up a max spot if they wanted I'm sure. This is AD we're talking about

You would think that they could take on a bad contract and a first for Niko and or randle. It’s not like we will need the cap space the next few years

Why do you post the most obvious crap. Everyone on this board could tell you the Knicks and Celtics have better assets than the Lakers and that the Lakers would need a 3rd team to get the trade. We know they aren’t moving Jrue now bc he’s still playing. And we know the date of the draft lottery and that the Pels would be stupid not to wait til after to know what picks they are trading for
