This is criminal..we really went from having no real young prospects the past few years to having the brightest future in the league sons. Is there a team with this many young prospects as us? I know most of these younger guys have not proven anything yet, but damn I'm excited !!

Zion - 19
Jaxson - 19
NAW - 20
Didi -20
Ingram - 21
Lonzo - 21
Frank - 21
Jah - 23
Hart - 24

Not to mention we still have our draft picks and will have the Lakers first rounders also.

I don't think there's much of a debate really

Atlanta has some nice pieces, but we have the best future no doubt

Yes and OKC is a distant second now followed closely by Atlanta

For 25 and under, I think we are tied with Denver. But if you talking about 22 >. There is no comparison we are the best young asset team. I think we have the most top 5 picks from the past 5 years.

We will have more fun watching this team than any others in the past and that includes the ones that got to the second round of the playoffs. Zion and Hayes playing next to each other with having good young pg’s and Jrue as the leader is going to be must watch every single time they play.

no, i'm simply not crowning our other 3 rookies b/c of a single summer league game

BI/Lonzo were still the captains of a sinking ship in LAL (and i mean pre-LBJ) and both have issues

Jah/Frank don't really register on a legit "young asset" list

you remove Zion and it's very questionable if we have the best core of assets. you include Zion and it's clear we are #1

Lonzo wasn’t on the team pre Lebron, and Ingram was a 19yr old playing on a team led by nick young & bunch of other 1st/2nd yr players

Not sure how they are captains of anything especially at their age

How many 19 year olds can contribute to winning basketball? What did you really expect from them

I see what you're saying, just a year off, the Laker's did a terrible job of supporting their young players, I agree
The team was in 4th however when an old Pel style injury bug hit them, so their assets that we got were actually performing closer to expectations, LeBron just wasn't as good as he believed imo

It’s early jake my b. Point still stands. How many teams led by 20 year olds have flourished

i get it but i'm still not sold on the LAL assets. i wasn't when AD first tried to frick us and i've been forcing optimism since it became a reality

lucking into Zion made accepting the offer palatable, most notably b/c we immediately got the 4 pick from LAL

but Zion is still the guy that pushes us over the top. that's all i'm saying. without Zion, we're a big ball of hoping LAL was that toxic exclusively

A combination of it being toxic and coming to a better situation could be great for these guys. Jrue and Favors are great vets to lead these young guys. To me it just seems to work. I’ve tempered my expectations of this particular season, but year 2-3 I fully expect playoffs each year if we keep making what looks like good moves and can get respect around the league. Hell maybe we can become a ring chasing destination, too. It’s at least a very interesting core to see develop.
