Devonte' Graham on CJ McCollum: "He’s got everything in his bag. Obviously, he’s a hell of a player. He’s going to bring extremely good offense and take a lot of pressure off B (Brandon Ingram) in those 1-on-1 situations." LINK
Ultimate team player, you know the aquisiton has to effect his minutes.

He's always seemed like a chill dude. His mother on the other hand will probably be blowing up his phone.

This makes no sense. Graham is a PG. McCollum has been a SG his whole career. Why would either of those change?

I think he realizes that his minutes may go down but his touches and shots will likely go up. He’s going to get his with the 2nd team which is his strong point.

Look at the difference in role our wings play in initiating our offense vs Portland. Guys like Aminu, Covington, Powell, etc. they are 3 and D guys or slashers. Not offensive initiators.
Graham is not a pure point guard either.
BI and Zion allow you to get away with playing CJ at the 1 because they add a level of playmaking alongside CJ.
We may well start Graham, especially with Zion still out. But I think CJ/BI/Herb/Jaxson/JV (or something like it) becomes one of our best lineups.

What makes no sense is you still think it's the 90s.

Seriously--what are you smoking?
He played with Dame his entire career. CJ will be running the one in New Orleans--
Not that that even matters since BI will be our main ball handler, just as he is now

29 games left in the season. I will bet anyone that, barring injury, Graham starts all of them. Anybody want some of that action?

I see you’re already pivoting from “this doesn’t make any sense!” to “well the Pels won’t do it no matter what you say”

And then Zion when he returns

I really used to think that you were a troll, but you really do think things like this, don't you? As crappy as Graham has played, and the tremendous weakness he's been, and you really think that we're going to bench Herb to keep Graham in the starting lineup.

I don't understand why everyone is so quick to want to trade devonte.

Just because he has a "PG" next to his name on 2K

What am I missing? Are we assuming Jaxson will be starting at the 4 going forward?
JV, BI, CJ, Herb Are clearly going to start at least until Zion returns. The question is if Graham or Jaxson starts, correct?

With NAW gone Graham being the gunner for the second unit is even more critical. I'm sure we will stagger a lot but Graham's role will be with the 2nd unit.
I think Hayes gets the start

Why would he bench Jones?
We just traded our starting SG (and back up SG and 3rd PG) for a SG. McCollum has always been a SG. He is going to be the starter there. People want to bench Graham for Hayes or Nance and slide everyone down a slot. So 3-4 guys are now playing playing new roles. Yet, that's all going to work out better somehow?
I'm not being contradictory for the sake of it. It's just looking at the situation rationally. That's how the players fit and where they slot in.
Everyone keeps trying to speak Ingram as a SG into existence. 3 years later, it hasn't happened and he actually plays more PF. I don't get this obsession..

Graham was tailor made to come off the bench. I could see offense/defense subs of him and Herb or Val in close games.
Graham is the type of guy that will win a playoff series with a clutch 3. I'd like to keep him in a supporting role.

Wait, so what do you think our starting lineup is when Zion returns?
