Devonte Graham coming off the bench was as impactful as Temple's reduced playing time.

I truly believe this as Graham has been a sparkplug when he is in and way more effective than when he was starting. Both excellent moves by Coach Green.

We all kinda talked about it when he was acquired by us. He just seems perfectly suited for a bench role.

He's giving you roughly the same production you were getting before but more efficiently in fewer minutes. And off the bench his defensive issues don't hurt you as badly.

I'm not a basketball guy, so something has to look better...stick out even. But this makes sense to me in casual terms.

I agree.
It's only been 3 games, but he's taken 6/6/8 shots in those 3 games, and scored 12/11/12 points. That's efficient shooting, as compared to him taking 12 shots a game, and scoring 13ppg like he has all season.
This is the role we brought him in for, not to be the starting PG.

The efficiency is what looks better. He's scoring 1 less point per game but taking 5 fewer shots in 6 fewer minutes. And this doesn't seem unsustainable, it's kind of what we hoped for in a bench role for him.

Graham’s missed shots are far less likely to be an offensive rebound also. When he bricks a three it ends the possession and many times leads to a break on the long rebound

What I think is the most important reason why he will be much more productive in that role than as a starter, is more about defense than his offense. Devonte is now asked to defend against 2nd units. So instead of him being hunted by Lebron on every possession last night, he ended up with Carmelo attacking him. Which is obvious to say is a much more favorable outcome for the Pels. And if we have nights where he is absolutely on fire, he can close the game like he did last night.

The make up of our bench is much better suited for Graham. We generally roll out long and versatile defenders like Naji, Snell, Hayes, and Alvarado. So that really helps hide him on the defensive end. Then most of those guys are low usage non ball dominant players who will generally only shoot when they're open. It lets Graham play his game without thinking too much about his role as a passer vs a scorer.

The most impactful move, aside from acquiring CJ, has been Jackson’s insertion the lineup at the 4. Team is playing above .600 ball since the change and two of those losses were when the Pels inexplicably removed him from the lineup.
The uptick is not all on Jaxson being lights out, but also our ability to present a long and formidable defensive lineup (perimeter defense and rim protection has improved) and increasing offensive efficiency in the front court. We are getting 25 points on near 70% shooting from Val and Jax.
Jaxson has arguably the highest ceiling on this team not named CJ, BI, or Zion. Don’t laugh, but he can be comped to Giannis. He obviously does not have the strength, skill level or intangibles right now but he is 6’11, can jump out the gym, handle the ball adequately, with a decent shot. Oh, he’s also 21 with minimal experience … hmmm

Graham said Willie came to his house personally and talked with him about coming off the bench. Tae said anything for the team.

I agree with all you've said. This is another good move by Willie.
Recap:
Trade for CJ.
Start Hayes at 4.
Sit Temple.
Move Devonte to the bench.
Green has something cooking.

Indeed he does. The roster is so much better balanced with roles being defined:
CJ/BI -> facilitation and scoring
Herb/Naji/Jose -> Defensive dogs
Snell/Devonte/Murphy -> Snipers
Hayes/Nance -> Athletic and versatile bigs
Val/Billy -> Low post presence and rebounding
They are already a problem, Zion can come back and be a wrecking ball, completly demoralizing the opponent.

We got Mccollum.
Now we can move Graham to the bench.
Simple.
