Do you just read the first sentences of posts or are you completely incompetent to recognize sarcasm?

You can’t just say “he’s young”

different players. different bodies. different skill sets.

again, i didn't say that i think Ingram is better than Simmons now. Just that I see a strong possibility that in three years Ingram has improved greatly and that Simmons is largely the same player.

Simmons is lebron-like in that he has had an NBA body since he was 18. the fact that ingram is scoring like he does despite the fact that he looks like gumby is promising.

but we won't have time to make a decision on ingram

the 2015 NBA draft already has its max guys (Towns, Booker, etc). Ingram was in teh 2016 draft, so he's up

the max slot on ingram would be roughly 27 million. it's not like he's getting a max vet contract. also, i think it's totally conceivable to say that you want more evaluation time rather than offering over the summer. he's a young player. if he walks and signs with another team, he'll be risking the not re-signing with the same team etc. bonus.

And I think in 3 years Ingram will be Andrew Wiggins. Is that a centerpiece for an AD trade?

depends on if he's paired with another high upside 21 year old point guard.

Ingram at the point is very good.

That allows Holiday to play shooting guard and form a very dynamic back court

Kuzma would be an awesome three.

Still could have Randle and Mirotic

Problem is Ball. The Pelicans would need him to go to another team. If I were the Pelicans I would ask for Zubac instead of Ball.

Tatum is infinitely better than Ingram IMHO and it's not even close

Ok but that doesn’t mean Tatum might not be slightly overrated on board

that's ridiculous. ball is a 6'5 pg with good athleticism. there's a spot in this league for that even if it's as a trade asset.

zubac is another C in a league increasingly going away from C. you trade for ball. play him. develop him, get him stats, then trade him.

Actually, its the opposite.

He's not priced controlled for any longer.

So his value takes a dive when you may have to pay him 140 million dollars.

i think it all depends on your valuation of Ingram. I believe that by 2020-2021 Ingram will be an all star.

if you're locking down an all star in his 22-27 years that's good value.

And you base this on...what? Fairy dust?

Ingram's stats don't bear it out.
