I assume you know that Dyson STILL can NOT shoot worth a crap? (And this is from a guy that luvs Dyson's overall game)

Bump. What a disaster of a trade for the Pels.

Whats interesting is hes shooting worse from 3 and the free throw line but his overall FG percentage is higher. Which means hes shooting substantially better in the paint- which to me has been his biggest offensive improvement while with the Hawks. The thing is the Hawks have so much shooting around him especially with Trae- they can live with it. We never had that here- still don’t- our best guys aren’t really shooters.

Obviously, Willie is to blame for Dysons development but a lot of blame should be put on Griff on trying to build a roster around guys who aren’t really 3 level stars in BI and Zion. Where a talent like Dyson cant shine due to our star’s weaknesses.

Dyson is shooting more 2s but only slightly more efficient.

He's shooting 53% from the line and his TS% is worse than last season.

Assist rate also down.

For this season, he is a very, very bad offensive basketball player. Very, very elite defensive player.

The Hawks have been largely healthy and are 5-7 in the East. Dyson is 27% from three and just over 50% from the FT line.

Murray is the single biggest loss right now for the Pels. If we had him, Boston, BI, Trey and Missi, I would feel we could actually win some games. Hell no, I would not trade him back. And I love and totally respect Dysons defense. He’s awesome.

As a fanbase we seem to love making ourselves miserable and trying to spread the misery as far and wide as possible. We are comparing Dyson Daniels having a great game with an injured Dejounte Murray. Not exactly apples to apples.

I was one of the bigger Dyson fans on this board, still am, but it was the right trade to make. Dyson is going to be a better Lonzo at best, which isn't bad, but this team really needed an actual point guard, which is what Murray brings, and at an All Star level. Murray almost had a triple double in his first game.

I liked Dyson, I hated giving up on him because I thought he had elite Defensive potential, which is true.

However, people are saying this because Dejounte is hurt. If he hadn't hurt his hand in the first game and played like he did in that game until now, no one would give a shite

I don’t really care what your numbers say. He was going at Tatum 1 on 1 yesterday and scoring at the cup, hitting very difficult floaters and layups. Shooting an open 3 is a much easier exercise to practice. You either have that tough finishing or you don’t and he’s showing he has it. Still I don’t think Dyson would have shined here, it’s going to make us look worse because of how perfect a fit he is in Atlanta.

It’s pretty lame to not even watch the game in question, just to spit out your statistics and whatever else you deem important. I don’t care about your metrics, boring and nerdy as hell. Maybe you should go get a scouting job for a team in the league since you’re so capable of determining a players’ exact worth off your fancy statistics.

Garland next to Daniels would have worked well together as a back court.

Dyson, Herb and a center is what wouldn’t have worked.

I do agree that Murray would be great for this squad, the problem with having to "wait" is that when Murray finally returns, the chances of doing anything of note this season will be gone.

I feel bad for Murray. The guy has played 1 game for us and as soon as he returns he will be expected to play all star level basketball without any margin for error. Thats just not a reasonable expectation. By the time he hits his groove- like shell said might be too late.

Hard for anybody to shine very brightly with Zion and BI as teammates. Hawks have fallen in luv with Dyson already...and he's having his best game ever...tonight. Would luv to still have the guy...very solid upside...I'd trade BI for him right now...straight up.
