It should be nuclear scorching.

If you had a Mark Cuban type, it would be.

But we have Gayle, where Loomis gets a lifetime role, fine with complete mediocrity, and I just don't know if they have the energy to fire Griffin either.

We will see.

Trajan is pretty much running the show now
Has that been stated anywhere or just an assumption? Griffin is still always the one in front of the media.

I believe it was stated a year or two ago that Trajan had taken on a much larger role within the team and that Griffin was taking more of an overarching big picture role

I wouldn't even need a mint tbh. A couple 1st or a 1st/swap plus an upgrade at C would be it for me. I still wish we could do Claxton and Finney-Smith plus picks. Hell a 3 way with the Cavs & Nets would be great too. Mitchell wants NY, maybe Brooklyn works too idk. Regardless I love BI as a rep for our team, but he's a Demar and we need a Klay imo.

I agree. I love BI, one of my favorite Pels but if he doesn't shoot more 3s then he just isn't a fit next to zion.

I would see if indy would trade Turner Buddy Nembhard and a couple 1sts for BI and JV

Bob Myers is a free agent. I would kick Griff to the curb and throw the bank at him in a heartbeat

Bob Myers isn't going from Golden State to taking some time off to working for Gayle in New Orleans, I don't think.

Trajan has been in front of the media alot more.

Draft night he was the one addressing the media, he spoke first at media day, Griff said in his media day PC that oversight of the medical staff has been turned over to Trajan, and it was said a year or two ago that Trajan was making alot of the personnel decisions.

It will be like every other year. Will we stay healthy? Will we get more than 2 games out of Zion? If we are healthy for 75% of the season the pels will make noise.

Gayle also in't paying him the $10mil or whatever absurd amount someone will pay him.

We'll always be severely limited financially with current ownership unfortunately.

And any ownership rich enough to buy this team are probably going to want to move it, because very few people with Louisiana ties would be even remotely rich enough.

We really need expansion to Seattle and Las Vegas to happen to cut down on viable alternatives.

Yeah as much as we bitch about Gayle, if she sold the franchise the team would be moved in under 5 years. Hell they would've been moved 10 years ago if she didn't buy it

You think Bob Myers would leave the glitz and glamour of the West Coast for...New Orleans?

We need to get Elon to not give 1Bn to Dickipedia and 3Bn to Gayle

My hope is we get someone rich from Houston to buy the team but keep it in nola. We seen this before in other sports where owners from other cities buy teams but keep it in the city thats close to their hometown city where they’re located. A 45 minute jet ride is nothing for a billionaire owner lol. I think thats our only shot for ownership change where the team isnt relocated.

My dream is some kind of massive investment group with a primary owner that isn't a massive sports guy, but with the Mannings involved as front people for both teams

Val is an obvious answer if you can find the right deal. Need a player that fits better.

Problem is doing that AND matching salary.

He is making $15m, which is good money but not enough to match a lot of the kinds of players we would want.

Any significantly larger amount means lumping CJ in there or sending a couple of our young guys out. And we aren’t talking about a lot of money with guys like Kira, Hawkins, Daniels, or Trey.

Any trade we make will likely have to be a multi-team deal in order to send out enough salary while still getting guys we want.

I think that "the hotseat", for a GM, is an idea that mainly applies to failing teams that have low expectations. I kinda think that we actually have high expectations.

But I think everyone knows that there will be major changes if we aren't a top-6 team in the West this year. Zion, CJ, BI, and Willie are all on the hotseat along with Griff, in my opinion.

After the season, the question would be about where people think that the blame lies.

If Zion has another “I don’t feel like me” season where he misses a ton of games, I think the heat will be nuclear on him.
