Why not put him as a small forward and zion as a powerforward like they were before. Thought about that?

So you have Queen as Center? Nope...

Zion doesn't like defense, in case you may have missed that.. we need Missi to start at Center.
Zion can handle SF's...to a point but guarding decent PF - nah, for 82 games...maybe for stretches of a game but a whole season...no way.

So you're saying Queen, should be a 6th man...maybe..but he's the future, he needs to start and play as much as possible. We ain't making playoffs.

In 2027-28, Fears and Queen will be close to All Stars...the future

Why are you waiting to start the future?

Fears and Queen are starting this year. That's not in doubt. So are Murphy and Zion. Those 4 are unquestionably starters. I think Murray will start with them. But maybe they do Missi instead or Jones, depending on the match ups.

However it goes, it makes no sense for Fears and Queen to come off the bench, or cut their minutes. Everything should be centered around them..

Truthfully, the best use of 'Him' (genuflect here) is to play 'Him' (genuflect here) off the bench. He can't defend in space (actually anywhere), so playing 'Him' (genuflect here) against top line SF's is out of the question. Leonard, 'ANT', Lebron, Durant, Williams and Tatum would eat his lunch all day, every day (and have).

Yet, he's way too soft (and small) to play PF against the likes of the 'KAT's', the Davis', the Giannis', the Banchero's or the Siakam's of the world. His current defensive rebounding statistics, alone, already bears this out.

Let 'Him' (genuflect here) come off the bench and play against second liners in whatever manner they choose. Let more complete players play against top line talent and let 'Him' (genuflect here) feast off lessor players since we already know his worth against the 'Big Boys'.

I never said Fears and Queen both should come off the bench. I only asked some poster who said it...I said multiple times Queen should start. Also said both will be close to All Stars after 27-28 season.

Fears and Murray would be ideal in my mind starting at Guards...I have my doubts due to Fears being so young. Mosley will probably start Jones at SG for defense.

What I want and Mosley will do will be different obviously.

Mosley starting 5.
PG Murray
SG Jones
SF Zion
PF Queen
C Missi

6 Murphy
7 Fears
8 Poole

9-13 suck

I don't know how to react to this. I just don't get it. Murphy is our 2nd best player. He's never coming off the bench. Never. That's just silly.

You forgot Bey. Who is our 6th best player and should start/play over Jones, if that ever came up. I am hoping Poole contributes something this year and we get some value out of him. That would totally change the trajectory of this team.

Neither Matkovic nor McGowens 'out-suck' Poole (Peavy is likely less 'suck-ful', too) and both are certainly more complete ball players than several. And neither one is as lazy as 'Him' (genuflect here). But you know what they say:

"Opinions are like 'a certain part of the human anatomy'; everybody has one"

The most frustrating part of being a Pelicans fan over the past few years has been watching Zion play. It's just so obvious how much more talented he is than everybody else on our team. He just coasts by and he just pops off the screen. So much untapped potential that will never be fully realized.

So, the idea he wouldn't start is just totally outlandish and would just never happen. Also something is different about this offseason with him. He's changed a lot of things he's done in the past and adopted new habits. I actually think that new management has made an impact on him. I'm hoping Mosely will as well. This is a contract year for him, so this should be his greatest year. I know we have said this before, but it really is now or never..

How many years running have we seen some variation of this quote? Seven years? Or is it eight? If it takes a contract year for 'Him' (genuflect here) to get serious about his job, deal me out.

I believe the starters are:

Fears
Murray

Zion
Queen

Those are our 5 best players.

This starting five would be a trainwreck defensively. Collectively, 3M3, # 1, and Queen would be, exponentially, the worst defensive frontcourt in today's NBA and perhaps in NBA history.

It amazes me how 'fans' only look at offensive stats to draw their conclusions on who's 'the best'. Offense doesn't consistently win in any team sport; you can only win if you play...........

What you are saying is correct. Then you do this

DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE!!!

ghey shite and it all goes out the window.

None. That's why I said that this offseason seems different. He's more focused, dedicated, and expanding his game. He's never done all of that.

We need him to be great this year. If money is motivating him, then thats just how it is. If he becomes valuable, we can flip him next summer. It's all about optimizing our assets.

No offense but any suggestion without Trey Murphy in the starting lineup is dumb. Whatever his flaws are on defense are more than covered by the spacing he provides on offense.

....and minimizing our liabilities. Enter 'Him' (genuflect here).

He has been 'Fool's Goal' within this organization since Day One. The Pelicans have thrown away useful assets (players and draft picks) while trying to build around a 'Trojan Horse'. Ask yourself one question:

WHAT DO WE HAVE TO SHOW FOR THE AD TRADE IN 2019 OR THE HOLIDAY TRADE IN 2020? >>>Jeopardy Theme<<<

The time is now, to move on from this 'Red Herring'. The problem is no one wants 'Him' (genuflect here), huh? So we find ourselves "SOL".

Do you have any idea what the team's record is since AD left and # 1 arrived? Who, in their right mind wants more of this. You can keep chasing a mirage if you want, but I'm done and the organization should be, too.

DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE!!!

Sidebar: He shouldn't sniff the starting lineup on this team. The only way for 'Him' (genuflect here) to get there is like everyone else...EARN IT!!!

I'm guessing:
Pg Murray
Sg jones
Sf Murphy
Pf Zion
C Missi

Bench:
Fears
Poole
Bey
Queen
Matkovic

Playing time when injuries pile up:
Peavy
McGowens

Bruh, you proposed a starting lineup with 3 bigs who can’t shoot and possibly the worst player on the team lol.

Season will likely start with Murray/Trey/Herb/Zion/Missi with Bey being the first guy off the bench
