Coach Mosley loves Defense and we obviously need another rim protector but you go with what you got...

I asked the World wide interwebs about Missi and Zion, defense

" According to Databallr, when Williamson is in the lineup without Missi, New Orleans has a defensive rating of 119.7. Add Missi on the court with Zion, and the team’s defensive rating improves drastically to 116.3, and the Pelicans have a net positive rating of +0.7."

Thus, Missi will be starting at Center. Then Murray PG, Queen PF, Zion SF, we have SG and depth to figure out.

SG - Poole, Bey and Hawkins .. I go with Poole

What about Herb? Murphy? Fears? All three come off bench and earn minutes. I love having depth and strength on our bench. JONES should be starting...MURPHY should be starting....it may happen but spreading the wealth and competition is King.

That is shitty defense

Fears/Herb/Bey/Trey/DQ had a +11 NetRtg and 107 DRtg, which would be the 2nd best in the league.

No lineup with lazy arse Zion will ever be good defensively.

What's the alternative...this board kind of sucks with morons..

So far it's been replies from the Retards..nothing substantial ..Just I'm dumb.

So is it Fears at PG? Bey at SG? Murphy at SF?

Nothing..Just trolls...no wonder this board is as popular as the WNBA

That's not reality...Fears ain't beating out Murray. Any NBA vet would prefer playing Fears versus Murray at PG...for now. Fear should be a Jr. In College.

ZION is starting...hello, highest paid player. Queen is best player on roster moving forward.

You are starting a debate on a Saturday evening. I'm not sure what kind of response you expected.

I believe the starters are:

Fears
Murray
Murphy
Zion
Queen

Those are our 5 best players. Missi, Bey, and Jones will get occasional starts and major minutes. I think Poole will get some run too, if we don't get Mathurin.

I don't see any scenario, barring injuries, where those 5 guys don't start. I don't even think it's question..

This starting five would be a trainwreck defensively. Collectively, 3M3, # 1, and Queen would be, exponentially, the worst defensive frontcourt in today's NBA and perhaps in NBA history.

It amazes me how 'fans' only look at offensive stats to draw their conclusions on who's 'the best'. Offense doesn't consistently win in any team sport; you can only win if you play...........

DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE!!!

The whole roster doesn't fit together. But regardless, you don't start specialists over established starters.

I get the love for Jones. But he's not better than Fears, Murray, or Murphy. Just value wise, that's not the case. Why would you sabotage those players to placate Jones, who doesn't care if he starts or not and is most effective playing under 28mpg?

It's not just offense. They are just better players. We have both Jones and Murphy on the market now. We are asking for 1st for Jones, and 3 1sts for Murphy. So obviously Murphy has dramatically more value than Jones. Yet you would start Jones over him?

I just don't see how you bench any of those 5, and be able to justify it. You can say it's to chase wins, but we all know this isn't a good team and is going to struggle to get wins. So what would you be accomplishing?

Since when were Queen and Fears 'established starters'? You can even throw # 1 in this question as he has still been available less than 50% of the time since entering the league; that's hardly an 'established starter'.

It's not just offense. They are just better players

Your definition of 'better players' and mine are vastly different. Wilt Chamberlain was an amazing offensive player; Bill Russell has 11 NBA Titles. So, who's the 'better player'? Our beloved Pete Maravich was as talented a basketball player offensively as you could find and, yet, he never won at any level.

It takes...

DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE! DEFENSE!!!

Aside: Why do you suppose we can't close games in the fourth quarter?

Coach will love Jones Defense and Murphy not so much...Fears will be an All Star one day, just not this year.

For the love of God, I don't understand why we didn't get another Center...Missi will thrive under Mosley but he ain't playing 30-35 mins. a game.

It all depends if , I feel stupid typing this, Zion can play more than 65-70 games. Also, if we are able to get a big to help Missi.

I took the above 29.5 wins on a small wager for fun...

The only way this works is if queen becomes good almost great 3 point shooter. This line up has no height. Trey is taller than Zion. Pretty much same height as Queen. We will get wrecked.

And yet it might still be our best option. I do believe Queen can be the best player on the team. But he needs to increase his motor on defense and knock down 3s. He can't do that from the bench.

I've been on here saying fears and Queen are the future. I'm board raising Zion value and trading him at the deadline. By then we should have a good feel how coach wants this team to look.

I stopped smoking crack, made my teeth yellow.

As for Murphy starting? Where?

PG - nope
SG - he can't guard athletic SG, he's too slow.
SF - he's not taking Zion's starting spot.
PF - too weak and not tough enough for 82 games
C - nope.

So who is smoking Crack sir...maybe offer your lineup.

6th man, YES, with a lot of minutes...
