I wonder what kind of package GSW could out together? And I doubt CP would resign there, so what's the point?

Lacob is an ambitious and hands on new owner. I bet he thinks he could convince CP3 to stay. The Warriors have regularly been top 10 in attendance despite mostly sucking since the Hardaway/Sprewell/Webber days, so if a team can afford to swing big and miss, it's probably the Warriors.

Boom

Add the Ellis/Gay trade in and it works better for GSW

That's the best trade scenario I think I've seen so far.

There is entirely too much talk of semen on Hornets Talk this week.

Yeah, the flaw to his trade is it destroys their back court for not that big of an upgrade to the other positions outside of Gay. I don't see them playing along.

well we knew it was coming. unless Demps can pull off a miracle it seems as if our future is uncertain. hopefully we can get some draft picks out of it because i really like this upcoming draft class.

Didn't the clippers just get a good PG in the last draft? I wouldn't mind seeing a trade to them..

Was going to say this before I left, you would have to switch Bynum and Odom for the Golden State to do this. You would need to add another team to take Odom for the Hornets to get more value.

Give Paul what he wants... trade him to NY..

Paul for C. Billups, L. Fields, 3 1st round picks (within 6 seasons) and 100 million dollars paid over the next 5 seasons.

What a pile of crap! Why should the players be allowed to collude and pull stunts like this? Shame on the owners for not putting something in the new CBA to stop crap like this from happening. Crap like this will only expedite the NBA back into the red. Who cares about the near 10K season ticket holders who know get to watch a crappy team that may win 20 games? Anyone willing to bet there will be a mass exodus of season ticket holders in the next offseason?

I agree but no trade will make the Hornets good this year. The Clippers were only borderline decent because of Griffin. Their castoffs aren't getting the Hornets into the playoffs. If your not good, you're better off just starting over.

I didn't really think the Knicks would go for the 100 million dollar asking price (on top of everything else). I was being silly..

I wasn't necessarily disagreeing with the trade, just railing on the BS nature of it all. Why can't this team be any good if Paul came back and they signed a couple decent free agents? It's also kind of crappy all of this is going down before the new owner is in place. Shouldn't he be the one to deal with this?
