what garbage?

he may have been a bitch on the court, but that hasn't affected the hornets' situation really

Doing this through his agents in the press. Although in Paul's defense he can't technically speak to Demps until the lockout is officially lifted which may not happen until December 5th, so he's kind of doing Demps a favor and telling him to stand down from Win Now mode. It may lose the Hornets a little leverage but in the long run I don't think it matters. If he's willing to go to the Clippers then he's willing to go to OKC, Dallas and probably several other contenders with trade assets. As long as it's not New York or Bust Demps should be able to get a bidding war going and get a decent return.

exactly. if anything, he's saving the hornets a ton of headaches by telling them indirectly not to re-sign d west

I think Paul will play along. He may want to leave but I don't think he wants to screw New Orleans any more than he has to.

But he loves himself a lot and goes out of his way to not look like the bad guy.

If all these rumors were totally false, all he has to do is issue a simple 1-2 sentence statement saying they aren't true and he's not interested, etc. He never does that, though. He always gives the same lame answer and says stupid shite like "I haven't thought about it yet"

It's obviously going to come down to what he wants more. The money or the possibility of a ring.

I heard a comment during the lockout that there are so many agents these days that they've had to come down on pricing for getting players contracts to the point that they don't make their money on contracts, they make their money on marketing a player. So from the agency perspective they may make a lot more money on Paul on a much smaller contract in New York than a full max deal in NO. So I'm sure they are pushing Paul to a big market as hard as they can.

If he is going to whine and bitch about leaving then let him. I have said for a while that this team needs to be blown up and start fresh.

Because NOLA can offer him more to stay than any other option in terms of money.

He is quickly becoming douche #3 in the NBA behind Lebron and Marshmelo.

No, because we will have the most money to offer. Rule trading him to the Knicks out. Clippers would instantly be a contender.

He won't win a ring unless he joins up with some superstar team. Star point guards don't win titles. He needs a Howard or Griffin or KD to play with to win a ring.

Also, he has no ties to this city. This isn't LeBron playing 10 seconds from his hometown. CP owes nothing to NOLA or the franchise, and I have no problem with that. But he just needs to stop the fricking complaining, let shite play out, and for the last year that he's here, he just needs to play hard. But we all know he's going to half arse it, especially without West, and the Hornets will miss the playoffs.

Can we organize a CP3 jersey burning before game 1?

We've been down this road before. Until Chris Paul himself says something, I'm not gonna turn on him. Leon Rose is probably where Broussard hears his info. Viable source, yes, but until the man who this is all about comes out and says something, I don't give a frick what Broussard says.

This may have slipped my mind, but when has he ever complained? All he said was that he wants to win now. Can you blame him for saying that? We were under shitty management when that was said. Then we bring in a new coach and GM, both of whom CP approves of. December 9th is the start of the future of this organization. Whether the rumors are true, and it will be without CP, or the rumors are just rumors and he stays.
