Did I say I was expecting 82??! I was being sarcastic and put lol at the end. But go ahead try to win the argument by picking things from my posts with no regard to actually furthering your point.

BI didn’t announce he wasn’t getting back on the court because he didn’t mentally “feel 100%” during a playoff push.
We ignoring that BI was cleared for weeks and didn't want to return and the front office and players were frustrated with him choosing to not play?

We have issues with both of our 2 top players being injured and coming back from injuries timely.

BI’s commitment to the team is not in question, IMHO. Zion’s is.

Goddamn some of you have short memories…this board was beyond frustrated with his injury the first half of last season. “BI has been cleared but won’t play until he’s absolutely 100%, he’s such a bitch!”

It seems crazy on it's face, drop an established All Star caliber player for a highly touted but unproven rookie when you're trying to make the playoffs. And one of the main reasons you'd be doing this would be to head off potential money issues 2 years from now. It's just not a move teams usually even think about.

However, the reason this is something to consider for the Pels is because outside of BI's rookie year, neither Zion or BI have played more than 62 games in a season. The last 2 seasons you have 55 and 45 for BI and 0 and 29 for Zion. With both being injury prone/recovery challenged, you have to think the odds of both being healthy at the same time and gaining momentum heading into the playoffs is not great.

I'm still not convinced BI/Zion for Scoot is the way to go and think dumping CJ down the line is the move. But it is not an insult to BI to consider it. There is risk whichever way the Pels go. If the team is going to live and die by Zion, going younger and cheaper at the #2 spot isn't a bad idea. If Zion does great, Scoot should fit right in. If Zion doesn't do well, you have more options than you would with BI making $50 a year.

Now I doubt Griff would be the one that got to rebuild around Scoot if you traded BI for him and later had to move Zion. That's part of why I don't see a Scoot trade happening. But if Griff knew he had a long leash, it probably would be 50/50 on whether he would pull the trigger.

Where in my post did I say anything about any of this. xD

All I'm talking about is people saying BI failed to lead the team this past season while overlooking ALL of the other injuries we had suffered.

Not saying he is an alpha or the top player or anything, just that to judge SOLELY him on how the team finished and say he CAN'T do it is pretty bullshite given the circumstances.

Zion is clearly our best player, but that doesn't mean BI can't lead us to wins and the playoffs without him. He did so the year before, yet people are quick to forget that fact, then he came back and lead us to the play in despite the injuries we had across the board.

Together they make an extremely good duo. The question is whether Zion is committed to making that happen, not BI. BI is in it and has proven that, despite the hate he gets.

Speaking of goldfish memories, seems a lot of people forgot BI led us to the playoffs with a fairly flawed team, missing all star, and rookie head coach just a year before...

They were 10 games under .500 and beat a clippers team without kawhi/pg 13 to get in and then lost in 6 games to suns. But sure lets forget all that context as well.

beat a bad spurs, beat a clippers team without Paul George, win two games with Booker out with a hammy. It works both ways.

Zion is our #1 and we win with him. Ok, but he barely ever plays and when he doesn’t he gets fat. Zion holds very little value to the Pelicans. His value is and will always be unrealized potential.

I haven't seen you post one disrespectful illogical thing and your posts is downvoted and people act like your opinions are idiotic.

This place has become a echo chamber of kids who can't comprehend any other opinion and whenever they hear something that's not group think they lash out. shite is weird as hell.

It's because they are 17-18 year olds who listen to Everything Bro by their idol Jake Paul and Yeat.

Like how can anyone seriously think breaking up this core of Zion and BI should not be considered when it's been 4 years and we have literally nothing to show for it?

There is DELUSION running here and I'm HONESTLY sick of it.

The crazy part about it is whenever you guys think we can trade players you do understand that peak value is a thing right? Like why would you expect BI to even be healthy at the trade deadline? He has one year left going into this season and is 26 and doesn't want to be here. Cut your loses and move on and I promise you guys it will be ok.

Too much BI stans here.
