Statement from NBPA executive director Tamika Tremaglio following NBA commissioner Adam Silver's press conference today:

Silver said today that he is hopeful of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement by Friday's mutual opt-out deadline – but said if there is no deal, the league intends to opt out of the current CBA in June.
This "If shite goes sideways it wasn't us" statement from the Players Union is the first negativity I've seen out of these CBA negotiations.

Im willing to bet the Owners are trying to get things back under thier control, as its perceived the NBA is run by the players currently.

They really need to.
The load mgmt bs is out of control.
Players' rights have hurt the nba.

These 2 are unrelated. Load Management is something that typically comes from the teams.

My 600 pound life All Star Team when he turns 25.
AD putting up 38 points, 10 rebounds while fat boy plays video games while shoving pizza and Popeyes down. AD looks like Superman compared to Zion.

Amen brother!! Lillard made a great point about how much the NBA has changed. Players aren’t competitive anymore and just want social media likes for their own brands. Rookies also come in the league feeling entitled and don’t want to prove themselves (looking at you Zion).

Between this, his podcast and his vineyard, when does CJ have time for basketball?

They absolutely need too. Players just play when they feel like it. Ben Simmons has basically stole money the last three years. Along with the load management bs which statistics show hasn’t helped injuries. People paying through the nose for tickets to see certain players only to see the 2nd string.

Yes, but players could be like F all that if they wanted.
AD makes that point all the time on NBA Radio.
If Embiid wasn't a scared pussy and wanted to play against Jokic, he could have.
Players hide behind load management.
I think the league needs to make all awards only eligible to players who play in 70 games or more. It won't stop it but it might hurt a few stars' pocketbooks for All NBA type incentives.

The NBA and NBPA are progressing in talks on a new long-term collective bargaining agreement and a deal appears within reach ahead of Friday’s midnight opt-out deadline, sources tell ESPN. There are still gaps to close on an accord.
