You guys are all crazy. Big at the guy who said he wouldn't do Kyrie and the #4. Take off the blinders and lower your AD expectations.

How so ? Fun Bunch said when you include

factoring in age, the amount we would have to pay those players, impact on season tickets, etc.

The list is not that big that I would trade AD for.

Yall can call it a joke all you want, but what have the cavs got to lose? At worst, the Hornets say no and you are simply back to square one. At best, the Hornets say yes, and you now have AD playing with Kyrie Irving for years to come.

There's plenty of young stars you could bring in that would affect season tickets. The money thing is great and all but if you plan to build a dynasty around AD he's going go get paid anyway.

These conversations are dumb anyway. Carry on

I mean yes I would consider trading 1 for 4 and Irving. I meant the only guys I would trade straight up for 1 are Lebron and Durant. And Rose.

Irving is really good. I'd take him and the 4 and run if offered.

I don't know what everybody is talking about, that's a solid offer. If they agreed to take Okafor, then I would take it.. Davis will be great, but I don't put all my eggs in one basket.

So trade the only franchise player in the draft for the #4 and a bunch of late picks that more than likely won't amount to anything? Yeah, solid offer.

That offer was hysterically bad

ETA: After all, everyone knows we're going to trade the #1 pick to Charlotte for the #2 pick and DJ Augustin (courtesy of the Nola.com forums)

The trade offer is shite. And this isn't the NFL, picks in the 20s and 30s hold little value. And Okafor is a solid player that is a year away from having pretty decent value. But yeah, let's drop from a potential franchise changer to a probably pretty good but not great player (MKG, TRob) for the next 7+ years so we can get rid of Okafor and add some solid backup caliber players to a team full of solid backup caliber players.

And you don't want all your eggs in one basket? Look at all the teams that are deep in the playoffs. They all have at least one elite player (if not more). The well balanced teams without any badasses (Philly, Denver, Pacers) aren't going to make it that far in the playoffs. The last team like that to win a championship was the Pistons, but they were loaded with "very good players."

I think David Kahn is actively participating in this thread

I don't think it is horrible. 4 top 34 picks for the #1 isn't out of line and like I said, if they took Okafor along with it, I'd consider it. If it were Charlotte (no bench or talent), I think they would have to take that trade.

Davis is a potential franchise player and the best player in the draft. But there are other great players there as well. I watched Kentucky play alot this year and MKG is a special player as well. I don't know why it is crazy to think he will develop a jump shot, but it's a given Davis will become a great post scorer. That doesn't make sense. There is already a group on here that think that Drummond has a higher ceiling. All I'm saying, is that it was a valid offer. I'm sure they won't take it, but it wasn't horrible..

Kahn is starting to look pretty smart these days.. I'd take a base of Rubio and Love..
