But Chris paul bitched his way out. we were owned by the league, and we just let D West walk away.

key words

-WE- did let him walk out after he opted out. We never extended a long term offer to him when he wanted one. We were all afraid of that injury and his age. That is truly his fault right?

This. I think the hate for him is just bc of bitchass Blake. Not too much to hate about Deandre. Unless you're an advocate for rims and don't like how he's abused them with his thunderous dunks and bricks at the line.

West still pouts like an angry 4 year old. Love when he does that.

I just want to point out again the second-best player from that Hornets team is the only one who's won an NBA title, and he did it as the second-best player on his Mavericks team.

When he left the Mavericks team the very next year they fell back to an mediocre team.

Chandler - my favorite Hornet of all time and the most under appreciated Hornet of all time. His defensive presence changed games.

No owner, stilled owned by the NBA, and was going down in a rapidly SINKING ship.

West came off of an ACL injury and opted out of a 1 year deal for a long term deal. We never even extended him an offer on a long term deal which he wanted.

We were rebuilding, he chose to leave, didn't make a circus out of it, and played every game with everything he had til his end here which resulted in a big injury.

DW is 'the man' because he gave both teams he has played for great leadership and doesn't quit on his team. That is something you can't say about Paul.

This.

Chandler was extremely valuable and instrumental to the Hornets' success that in 2008. It is silly, however, to suggest he was the second "best player" on the team. He was a part of the "big three".

It became obvious to West and Paul that the Hornets were going nowhere by 2010-11. I really hold nothing against either one for leaving.

frick David West.

There is a lot of hate for CPS who we got several players for, and a lot of love for David West who left in FA and we got nothing for him. Plus him leaving helped cement Paul's exit.

Makes no sense but frick D. West.

What. The. frick.

We were very close to a S&T with Boston for West, but he ended up taking the Pacers offer instead. If only West were more loyal we could have had JaJuan Johnson and Etwaun Moore. He selfishly screwed us out of a guy that lasted 1 year in the league and a guy who in 3 years has accumulated a career PER of 10.7. Thanks for nothing David

The Big 3 at that time was always Paul, West, and Chandler.

Your inability to stay away from a Pelicans board during the offseason may be the saddest display of self discipline in the history of the Internet.

I loved me some TC too, but there is no way he was the 2nd best player on that 07-08 Hornets team. He was good, but not NBA Defensive Player of the Year good in New Orleans. DWest was an animal that year in the playoffs.
